VSG - You can eat anything?
HI, I've been reading some posts. Question for the VSG folks. I currently have the band, am considering revision to VSG due to lack of weight lost and swallowing problems. So I read some say "I can eat anything I want". What does that incorporate? Can you eat lettuce? A full salad with tomatoes, cucumbers etc? Are you…

graze packs good or bad for WLS
Has anyone with WLS bought/used these? I'm getting tired on my snacks lately and wondered if this might be a fun option. Any thoughts? Im still have another 40 lbs or so to lose. I am having trouble figuring out nutritional value of individual items to determine if these would be good "snacks". Thanks for any input…

Stress and how it affects eating
Do those of you who are post-op find when you are under a lot of stress that you can't eat or have issues with food agreeing with you? I am 3.5 months post-RNY and if I am stressed I can definitely tell my pouch is affected. It's such a drastic change since prior to surgery food was the first place I turned when I was…

It is made with stevia, has less than 1 carbohydrate and 25 grams of protein. Come in all kinds of flavors also (like birthday cake and mint mocha!).... But no one I…

Hello friends! I had my sleeve done a week ago today. Since then, I feel great. Energy is good. I'm not tired or winded. I feel normal save for the laproscopic surgery wounds are still a bit sore. Anyhow, when I got home, my weight was 306, this morning it was 284.5. Is such a big loss initially normal? I'm getting all my…

Excuse me while I do the victory dance
When I first went to the seminar, my doctor gave me a little piece of paper. Written on this little piece of paper was my projected weight loss in the first year. It said 91-130 lbs. I went to my SIX MONTH appointment yesterday and blew his mind. My current weight loss is 119 lbs. It was truly one of my greatest…

New to the Group
Hi, I'm Kate. I am in the process of working toward VSG sometime this summer. In the meanwhile, I am using MFP to get a handle on my food and exercise choices, and it is really helping me stay accountable to myself. Just thought I would drop a line and say hello :)

5 day pouch test...ish. Wanna join?
So during my carb binge last year, I got a flu and wasn't interested in really eating for a few days. So basically, I lived on sugar free jello, soups, and fudgesicles. That lasted about 5 days, and once I felt better and started eating solids again, I realized I felt the restriction from my pouch again, didn't have…
