I hear ya. I only need to lose 15 as well but it is very hard. I find limiting carbs and snacks helps me keep my calories down. If I eat larger amounts or food containing carbs, I have a hard time sustaining throughout the day. Switching to whole wheat wraps for carbs is lower in calories. I only snack on fruits and…

Mfp automatically reduces your daily recommended calories so you're already eating at a deficit to promote weight loss. You will burn more calories than you will eat. If you burn more calories by exercising, you should eat those back as your body still needs energy to move.

In my past weight loss experience I will go about 4 to 5 weeks with minimum weight loss, and then *bam* drop a big chunk of weight.
-
In a week? Good luck w that.
-
*cries* This is next for me. I'm not losing at the rate I should be and I think my beloved Cabernet is the reason why. Not happy about it.
-
My weight fluctuates all the time. I weigh daily and make sure it is consistently going down, not up
-
I eat back my calories. I'd be starving and eat an entire box of Cheez Its if I didn't.
-
I do the same thing you have done. I'm horrible at maintenance. I get cocky. I've lost 50lbs, 20lbs, 15lbs, and I'm here working on losing 15lbs, down from 20. You think maybe I'll get it right this time? Lol
-
Good for you! I'm 3 weeks into this myself. I have good feelings I'm going to see results this week. Fingers crossed I'm doing things right.

Your body is still pumping with pregnancy hormones, plus you have hormones going through you while breastfeeding. I know you want your body back, but give it some time. It'll happen. Pay no attention to the celebrities that are "back in shape in 2 months". That's so unrealistic and unhealthy. Its a horrible message to…

I think 11 pounds in 3 months is good. Especially since you admit your eating could be better. And honestly, its probably even worse than you think when you consider how much people misjudged measurements and portion sizes. If you want to increase your speed of weight loss you have to be careful about what you're consuming.
-
So far, feeling better. Not bloated, more energy, less overall sluggishness.
-
That's very close to me. I'm 5'2" and I'm currently around 148-150. My first goal weight is 135 as well. I carry weight in my midsection too and I have to get down to 130-135 to lose that, but then I'm too skinny everywhere else.

I agree with those who say you have to really want it. If you're not ready, you're not ready. No one can force you. I sat on the couch making excuses why I couldn't exercise. Then I just did. When you're ready to start you start immediately. You don't schedule it.
-
I've been eating 1200-1300 calories, plus exercising 6 days a week, eating back my calories, and I'm on week 3. I'm not seeing much for results yet either, but I'm expecting it will happen soon.

You had me at magical decalorie-izer. *swoon*

I hear ya. I do the same thing. Or I reach my goal and act as if I never have to moniter my diet again. 20 lbs later I have to do it all over again. This time I'm trying to convince myself I'm making a change for life. I should keep exercising as part of a lifetime plan. And limit the indulgences. And if I do fall off the…

Can't we talk about the struggle and not try to one up each other by saying you can avoid cravings when another person cannot? Everyone is weak at some point. Maybe you're not at that point today, but you were. Give the other person a break.

It seems to me that there is an awful lot of bread, carbs, pasta, doughnuts, chips, etc in your log. Now I know people will say that as long as you're within your calories that's okay, but I would definitely not lose weight eating like that. Maybe I'm able regulate better when I'm low carb - which makes me wonder if you're…

I have horrible hormone issues as well. I know the struggle. Drs are always trying to put me on birth control to regulate my hormones. The first few months are always good, but ends up causing big problems. Yaz was great for about 3 months. I even dropped 10 lbs very quickly. Then it was like getting hit by a truck. I…

Good luck. Its no joke, but it gets easier.

I'm 5'2". I've been at 1200 calories for 2 weeks, I do the 30 Day Shred 6 days a week, and I eat back my calories. After doing a little more research, I increased my calories to 1360 (after exercise). I dropped 2lbs the first week, but I haven't seen anything since.

I've heard many women having cyclic changes because of things like stress, or diet and exercise. Personally, though, in the 22 years that I've had my period, going through times of extreme stress, or drastic weight changes, the only thing in my life that has derailed my menstruation was pregnancy. I do believe that diet is…

Unless there is some magical 1 lb per day, diet, 15 days probably isn't going to be long enough to see results. I'm there too, and its frustrating BC you want to see them now. But I've been here before and I know I usually hit the 4 week mark before I see results.

I have a really bad back. Degenerative, and arthritis - some days I can hardly put my socks on without laying down. Anyway, I'm on week 3 of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I got it on Amazon. It isn't causing me any problems. The cardio is limited and it isn't anything too bouncy or twisty that hurts my back. Good luck! I…

Lots of fruit and vegetables, meal replacement protein shakes (breakfast or lunch), low carb - except for low calorie whole wheat wraps if im extra hungry, water, and I exercise to accommodate going over in calories.
-
For me, eating carbs and processed snacks triggers more hunger, and overeating. I can keep my calories at a deficit for the day if I avoid too many carbs. I can stay on track better if I focus not only on how much I eat, but what I eat. I find it much easier if I just don't eat them at all. If I'm having a real bad…

This for me too. I typically have one 'good week'.
-
I'm on my second week of the Shred. That workout is no joke, but its doable. And the fact that its only 20-ish minutes makes it easier to just do it without excuse.
-
I love them, but I only use them to replace one meal a day. Typically breakfast bc I'm not a breakfast eater.
