I think I got each of you added.

Last year I lost 20 pounds in about4 months I think. This year, 15-20 pounds by June is what I have been thinking about. I'm not starting out small, though, losing this weight will still leave me above your starting weight. I'm in my fortys, and concerned that losing too quickly will leave me with loose, messy skin. Please…

If you want to jog, do it! But yeah, get a couch to 5k training program. Also get good shoes! Baby those feet when you start. If you do the couch to 5k, remember you can advance at whatever pace is comfortable to you. If you want to do week 1 day3 for 3 weeks in a row, then do it. Advance at a pace that feels good to you.…

I would suggest finding a tool like trendweight that shows a moving average of your weight, to help keep track of how you are doing, without daily water weight fluctuations causing concerns.

Sure! I'm at a little over 1600.

Me too! Lol. Too bad it doesn't really work that

Op how old are you? Also, how tall are you? Is it possible that your body is at the smallest weight it will be happy with? If your parents take you to dinner a lot, is it possible to talk with one of them about your concerns? Perhaps they can guide you through some appropriate meal decisions. Are your craving for sweets at…

-also - I agree with other people that say to make sure your needs are satisfied during the day. Don't punish yourself for the overnight behavior, how do you know how much of anything you ate anyways? Not only make sure your nutritional needs are satisfied, but try to do it in such a way that you feel satisfied as well.…

I have had similar issues with my Ambien - sleep eating, sleep shopping, etc. As for the sleep eating, can you keep some kind of reasonable snack in the house? I know about not really being able to think about it, I have trained myself to "rules" after 9pm. I don't buy anything online, I wait to buy tomorrow. No matter how…

does it say in there anywhere? does he eat his exercise calories back? or just straight 2000 cals?
-
I usually go for a grilled chicken wrap if that's where I am going. But I gotta say, if my routine included 45 minutes of exercise 5 days a week, I'd probably not have much problems fitting that double cheeseburger and fries into my day's count. Probably an occasional apple pie, too.

I'm down 15 pounds, and he has noticed that my waist is starting to get defined. I say this to suggest that you don't let yourself get overwhelmed by too big of a goal. The biggest changes that have helped me are to skip out on the baked goods, significantly reduce pasta, and at dinner - increase veggies/decrease meats.…

I'd like a few new friends to fill in where others have drifted off. Please add me!

Me too! Goal of 50 pounds to lose, 8 pounds in (:

Wow. I was half way there. Three bananas in, I had no idea I was approaching the point of no return. Good thing I switched to cottage cheese when I did.
-
Yum! Can I eat at your house?

Ha - a sansapixie, a pinkpixie, and I'm just a pink. We are destined to journey together! Lol. I'm a 40 something that has allowed the weight creep to creep up too much in the past few years. I've been on mfp for about a month, and am having great success so far. It's gonna hurt when I get to that first big plateau. My…

I'm not in the low carb cult, I'm in the less added sugar, less refined flour cult. People who are asking about cutting carbs aren't usually people with an excess of legumes in their diet. Just saying. A whole lot of the "junk" food can be easily identified by the surplus of sugar & white flour in the processing.

Also carbs:

You are getting good practice at a great skill that will help you lose and maintain for the rest of your life. Are you ready for this? Repeat after me: "No, thank you" and smile because you politely said what you meant and stuck to it. Eventually, yeah, people that like to share treats won't come your way. Now - you can't…

A big part of my excess calories comes from sugary food and baked goods. These have a lot more calories than they have health benefits. While I don't "cut them out completely", I do have to re-think how much of these items makes sense to have. For example, it's really hard for me to maintain a healthy level of calories if…

that does sound good. thanks!

Suggestions: make it a priority to log everything, including drinks. Then you will be able to see how it affects your total count. 10000 steps is a lot, especially if you are normally a bit sedentary. If you are having difficulty getting that, don't flip out, but build up to it. One of my biggest surprises with my fitbit…

The only advice that really is bugging me is the bit about cico is the be all end all of eating healthy. You can lose weight on the Twinkie diet, that doesn't mean you are getting healthier. To some extent, you have to give your body what it needs, not just the cals.

Don't feel ashamed, I hope you enjoyed it! Take a nice walk around the block, or do some little extra exercise to counter balance it. Cake is an extra treat that we don't need to eat every day, but if you decide that you do need to eat it sometimes, do it smart, eat a small piece, enjoy it as a special treat, and do…

Are you talking about me?

For those that get frustrated with this, check out a website called trendweight. It basically shows you a moving average, which helps smooth out the effects of these fluctuations.

I wonder if Hitler was a sitter or squatter. I bet it was the half donut thing that really got him though.
