Good job girl, you were beautiful even with the extra pounds, but now you look gorgeous! Keep eating healthy and exercising. You are now a role model for your three children , and as a result of your positive change they are probably eating better and exercising more with you! Me and my husband both lost 55lb and we…

I'd get my protein unprocessed from meat, fresh kefir smoothies, eggs, beans, yogurt etc if you work out 4-5 times a week, you don't need more protein than that. If you are working out several hours a day, 6 days a week you might want to supplement. Whey is disgusting, not sure how can people use it, even if it's in powder…

Some Of you suggested I should make homemade kefir, since this post I got some grains and started my kefir making journey. This was my 3rd batch and I can't seem to get creamy consistency, it's more like thin like milk with small cheese curds - tastes good but I would like it to be more like buttermilk. I use 3 tablespoons…

Homemade yogurt sounds lovely, what culture do you use ? Where can I buy the culture? I never done it ... I like the Vanilla Greek Yogurt, do you just add vanilla and sweetener ? Also do you use non fat or skim milk and how many calories is the yogurt? Sorry I know many questions but I'd love to know

You are def an inspiration , you look better than most 20 year olds ! You are living proof that anyone can have a fit body at any age - you just have to work for it! I'm a June baby myself, 30 right now and hope I won't look any less fit than you by the time I hit 50

Thats awesome, keep it up, I'm 2 months in, so far I lost 2 more lb so probably should increase calories , but debating whether or not I should leave it as is for now because summer vacations approaching, I'm going to eat out and perhaps have more ice screams than I should
-
I use it for cooking and lotion. I use the Carrington Farm Flouverless liquid kind because it's just more convenient. I love it. I don't use it in smoothies per se , but when cooking/ baking meat that's all I use

I lost 55 in 7 months, went from 169 to 114 lb. First 25-30 lb came right off, after that the process took longer
-
You look fab, well done!

I've met a lady who looked like 50, but she said she was 70. Her secret was wearing sun screen all the time and retin A ( I think you can buy it in Mexico or get it prescribed in US )
-
Awesome well done

Second to that. Tons of videos both for strength and cardio
-
2 Cardio sessions per week- usually HIIT for 15-20 min or interval training for 40 min 3 strength training - focusing on different parts of the body, bottom, inner thigh, abs, shoulders arm etc 2 days rest- usually after HIIT so I don't lose muscle mass
-
Btw your thigh and belly will be last to go, mine stayed until I got under 120lb (5'1) so be patient and if you still got fat to lose know that your belly and thighs will be last to shrink
-
http://youtu.be/CzxoisqfU2o try this , it will strengthen your inner thigh muscle- will make your thighs look sexier in just 8 weeks

My husband has this pizza weakness, Di Giorno has a 700 cal one, he just incorporates it into his calorie budget ... When I crave it, I make a huge salad in a salad bowl and then add a slice of pizza to it, that way I get full and have my pizza too!
-
Agree , that's all it is, the sooner you accept that the rest of your life will be different from the past , and you focus on maintaining a good healthy diet and exercise routine , the better.
-
b Good job, congrats, enjoy your music, health and new body! Time to go shopping too hehe
-
thanks I have to check that out

How many percent of protein should I eat ? MFP is set for 20% - should i eat more ? Or just stick to that ?
-
oh I'm not expecting anyone to answer how long it would take me , just wanted to hear how long it took for others to see results and what they did in terms of diet and exercise that's all Nice to learn from folks who been there and done that
