Is your profile pic a turtle eating mashed potatoes??

If you don't eat a lot of fruits or veggies, maybe take some vitamin pills or gummies? Some vitamins are important for muscle growth and metabolism.

My go-to snack is Greek yogurt (plain) with some type of berries. That keeps me full between breakfast and lunch. I've been getting tired of it, so I need snack ideas too :D

Fatty liver here too. Basically, I'm just trying to gradually lose weight by CICO. I've read lots of things online that may help. Turmeric helps the liver. Obviously, no alcohol. Exercise!! i'm 23 and overweight. My older brother is a normal weight, but has fatty liver. Must have been running in our family.

Rapid weightloss with a fatty liver is a bad idea. I read that it can lead to scarring.

I just discovered one called Liz's Healthy Table on spotify. I've listened to a few. Liking it so far!

I've been having big breakfasts, a small lunch, and a snack or two before dinner. I've been staying full until dinner. What do you usually have for breakfast? I've also switched from soda to diet soda, but still trying to drink more water. For snacks, I have some greek yogurt with some kind of berries, peanut butter,…

A yummy pho place about 2 weeks ago. I tried to estimate the calories, but I was probably way off. I've still been slowly loosing weight, so the pho didn't mess up my goals.

I've been drinking Diet Pepsi. Of course, water is better for me, but I'm trying to drink more water! I tried some of the new diet cokes. The mango one was really good, but I did not like the orange one. I've tried La Croix....it's ok.

I think this is doable. This month, I've spent about $80 dollars on groceries. I've been trying to eat out less. My grocery trip 2 weeks ago, I spent about 55 bucks and will have enough food for the rest of Jan. I bought eggs, bread, tortillas, greek yogurt, some fruits and veggies, turkey, tuna, almond milk. For feb, I am…

Overnight oats. Sometimes I cook breakfast sausage the night before, so I just have to heat it up in the morning. If I'm in a hurry, I make scrambled eggs in the microwave. If I'm in a big, big hurry, I just try to stay full with a piece of fruit and a protein bar. I guess the best piece of advice would be to try to prep…

I wasn't fitting in my clothes anymore :( ...and my nephews even noticed I had gained weight haha. This year will be different! Down 4lbs already!
-
What did you end up getting? :D

Please take advantage of the college gym! I was skinny my first 2 years of college. I didn't really watch what I ate, but I biked a lot, walked around campus and went to the gym occasionally. I had a car the last 2 years and I think that made me lazy  I stopped biking, ate out more after moving out of the dorms. I…

Pizza Calories= Crust Thickness (cm) x Number of Pepperoni's on that bad boy, divided by Cheese (oz)^2

I've been trying to drink diet soda instead. I want to cut back slowly and eventually just have a can at family parties or something,

No idea how to do Keto, but best of luck. Keep us updated! I'm 5'3, 180lbs. I want to try to get back to 150lbs this year, and then less from there. Just curious, what was the rest of your day like food wise? That meal you mentioned sounds like it would be about half your calories for the day.
-
I'm a 5'3 male, currently at the heaviest I've been. 180lbs. I've slowly gained weight the past few years. Last year I tried and failed to lose weight. Hoping and planning to make this year different. Logging meals is a great place to start. I'm also going to try and go to the gym on Thursday. I'm thinking maybe going…

"If you toast bread it reduces the calories because it burns them off." Lol

Great advice. I've been trying to make small changes that will add up. Like keeping track of food If I eat out. The other week I went to Burger King and got a whooper Jr, no mayo, instead of a regular whooper. Seems foolish, since it's still Burger King, but it's still a step in the right direction. Also, I've been trying…

I would suggest maybe slowly get yourself back into it? I haven't been to the gym in months, and I am going to start going again on Thursday. My plan is to walk on the treadmill a bit, a few minutes of running, and ending with some free weights. I was doing so well in the gym last summer, but I know I can't start off…

Very true. The two locations by my house have so little free weights.
-
The ones by my house are ok. I 've heard the lunk alarm go off only once because someone dropped a heavy weight. I find the concept of that alarm unnecessary.
-
Really? Sweet, I'll look it up.
-
Good luck! I've gained 30lbs in the last few years. Hoping to drop all that weight this year. I've been logging calories today too.
-
Hi! I logged today! You're so right, why wait until Jan 1st!? I did so well with MFP early in the year, lost a few lbs. The second half of the year, I gained it back, and then some. I'm going to try and log correctly this weekend and watch my plate size during family gatherings.

I'm a 5'3 male, currently at the heaviest I've been...180. I want to get to 150 during 2018, and then get down to around 130.
-
Very true. I was thinking of starting after the holidays, but I should start making changes now. There are so many family birthdays Jan-March, so I know there will be lots of family gatherings.

Same here with the credit card!
