  • I did a body pump class and it was great. I was on holidays but the class times don't fit very well with my schedule otherwise i would do it more often.

  • I too love it and log it as Dance
  • I also dropped big numbers for the first 2 weeks then nothing for the next 2. After that it has been an even amount each week. So look out for the nothing weeks!! Keep working hard,
  • Put everything it the receipe part and say how many servings it will be and it will organise the calorie count for you.
  • I have been in the same boat for the last week. As many have said before keep going but not so hard the second day. Maybe a short run / brisk pace walk / swim might be good to stretch out the muscles. Thats what I did with a workout each second day and a week later I'm almost beyond the pain, I can at least move now!!
  • Well done on your achievement.
  • Stepping while watching!
  • Its really tough but I try to stay away from the food table talking to others. I try to get in plenty of exercise and have lighter options for other meals so that I can eat more for that meal. You really have to have the will power to resist as well! :(
  • I love my iphone app it makes it so much easier to keep track of my calories. Enjoy your iphone.
  • A nice smoothie or drink of juice might help. I have just done that tonight myself.
  • If you go into the cardio and put in strength it will add weight lifting in there.
  • Good on you for sticking to it and trying to stay within your goals. If I find I'm over on my calories towards the end of the day I have a step at home and have a stepping workout to try to get back under. (does always get there but I get close) good luck.
  • I take mine to charity shops hoping they might make a little bit of money.
  • Sounds great
  • Every time I weigh in I go to the goals and it changes my calories for me. In almost 2 months I've gone from 1690 to 1590 calories in a day.
  • I have bought a step and use it at home in the evenings while watching tv.
  • 4171+24=4195
  • I weigh in twice a week. I tried just getting on the scales once a week but found it too hard not to check so just do it twice now. I only put my Saturday weighin results on the site though. I find I fluctuate too much on a daily basis.

  • That's great and don't think of MFP as a diet, just a change in life style. My sister and I do it together and we are having so much un with it. She can eat a lot more calories than I can, which makes me want to wok out more so I can eat the fun things she can.... Anyway have fun with it.
  • One of my friends (not needing to loose weight) wanted to catch up so suggested we go for a walk to the pub. It was an hour walk there and a bus ride back, so enjoyed a small drink, visit with friend and exercised all at once, and it was at my friends suggestion because she wants to help me stay on track. As long as your…
  • Sometimes I think its best to leave a weighin a week and up the exercise! Sorry for your losses KnightofGod.
  • We have a small step at our place and using a heart rate monitor step for up to an hour while watching tv and it's really good. We add in some arm exercises as we are doing it. It takes up no room in our small place. Good luck.
  • I have been looking at Heart rate monitors at the moment. The biggest loser US use the bodybugg but I didn't really like the look of it as it seems to go on the arm and looked a bit bulky. The biggest loser Australia use the Garmin Forerunner and you can get it with a footpod ( thing that goes on the trainer to shop steps)…
  • Try not to think of it as a diet. I think each day what will i be able to eat today and still stay just under my calorie count. It helps that the other person in the house is also doing it with the same attitude. Good luck

  • I have now been on the site for 30 days and I don't think about it as being a diet and that has helped me stay interested. Its more a game to see what I can do to stay in my calorie limit.
  • I lost 15lbs in the first 8 days then nothing for the next 8 days. I have made sure to stick to my calorie count. I the next week I lost 2 lbs. I wanted to loose about 1 1/2 lbs per week and i'm sure i am slowing down to that. I guess your weight loss depands on how big and how much exercise you did before. i did nothing…
  • I have only been on for a few weeks and love it. I bought an iphone just to help keep track and its great.
