  • I agree. I also went through a period in my life that I couldn't just let go of things and cried and got mad over the smallest things. I wish I would have had the ability to see a counselor, because it did put stress on my relationship. I began journaling and that helped, a lot, to get the things off my mind and on paper.…

  • Thank you!!! I like the idea of being able to focus on one person....I'm not extremly strong and really don't want to hurt myself! :flowerforyou:
  • Yup, when you don't give yourself a way out, then you can't chicken out and say it's because your busy. You just do it. :flowerforyou:

  • I wasn't until I cut out alcohol. I have maybe one-two cocktails a week versus having one or two a night. That, and I'm not focusing on the poundage as much as defining muscles and burning fat. In the past week, I dropped 5 pounds. But, that's also because I have about 50 to lose to be in a healthy range. I suggest not…
  • In Reports and under you Meals.
  • Variety keeps your muscles working in different ways. The more ways you work them, the more fat you burn. Always changing prevents that dreaded plateau!! :flowerforyou:
  • Yes. Allowing the muscles to rest prevents injury and fatigue. Most workout circuits alternate days between pushing muscles and pulling muscles. You can also alternate the days you do arms, chest, back, and legs. I tend to like my DVD workouts more than the gym. My hubby goes religously and works chest and triceps one day,…
  • Very well put! I focus on tiny goals like cutting back on the consumption of alcohol, getting up and kicking butt at the gym or to a video, staying close to my calories. These things make me feel good! Not numbers on the scale. The numbers on the scale didn't motivate me to get up and move. Getting up and moving and eating…
  • I say have some greens before eating and just watch your portions. I'm not a big fan of the whole grain pasta. :flowerforyou:
  • Variety is the spice of life!! Keep it different and don't depend on the scale to move you forward. Plus, I know if I focus too hard on the mission, I don't enjoy myself and tend to sabotage. Plan out your meals the night before, plan your owrkouts then too. and then just live the next day. When you go morsel by morsel,…
  • Yup, I'm a straight from the Tap gal. Nothing special required! :drinker:

  • O, he so does!! My butt was burning halfway through. Evil!! And yes, he is fun to look at while working out, like a goal ;)
  • A few tips I keep trying to instill in my military hubby are these: Put your fork down in between bites. If the shovel isn't in your hand, you can't keep shovelin'! Breathe. Take a sip of water or whatever you're drinking. Don't eat in front of the TV, while reading, or on the computer. You don't pay attention to what…
  • I had fun with them. I'm a huge fan of Jillian's (though I curse her name when I finish her workouts!!) I do her 30 day shred and biggest winner series with front, back, and cardio kickboxing. I never work out as hard on my own as I do with her kicking my butt. I'm usually drenched at the end!! :drinker:…
  • I calculate it as Aerobics, general or Aerobics, high impact. I do my running as a separate log entry. :flowerforyou:
  • I'm in! I am currently at 197. I want to lose 1-2 pounds a week, about 45-46 pounds by Christmas (and my 25th Birthday!!!) The company I work for is encouraging us to workout and even allowing leave time to do so. No excuses to not show up at the gym!! :flowerforyou: Best of luck!!
  • Oh my lord, yes!! DAILY. But today I skipped my daily cocktail. And tomorrow I get back in the gym. And my eating habits are changing. I'm logging religously. Best of luck and press on!!!
  • You have to motivate your mind, and the best way to do that is start with the body. Do a no excuses week of working out and your brain will get in the rythm. Good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • Girl, I would trade you positions in a heart beat!!! If money is tight, try second hand stores. Most of the things in there are gently used if at all! I've given away items still with tags on them! Or, try getting your fav pieces altered. It's not nearly as expensive as replacing your entire wwardrobe! :flowerforyou:
  • :flowerforyou: :drinker: Great goal!!

  • I'm IN!! I don't have my current measurements, but I have the basics! CWT: 196 Goal at the end of this month: 180 Over all goal: 140 I start tonight!! And yes, it kicks your butt!! And it feels AWESOME!!:flowerforyou:
  • I get mine when I injest too much of anything with simple carbs or sugar. It gets a little hard to breathe. If I drink too much the night before or have coffee too early or drink a SlimFast shake and no water with it to kinda break up the sugar. Anything like that.

  • Yes!!! and take a brisk walk. Get those endorphines rushing!!
  • Yes, you should never be starving! You're just shootin gyourself in the foot and ruining your chances of success. Plan out healthy snacks and try eating every two hours, even if it's just a handful of carrots. The more fruits and veggies you have, the less hungry you are (trust!). Also, plan your meals out. I've been on…
  • LOL:laugh:
  • I switched it to CMT. LOL. I get tired of 24/7 news. :drinker:
  • Seeing as you can't run or do jumping jacks, try doing seated upper cuts, punching motions weight lifting and what-not to get your heart rate up.:flowerforyou:

  • I have a friend with the same problem. Her problem is that she doesn't consume enough water through out the day. How much water do you get in every day?
