Time to get ready for the Holidays. I checked this morning and Christmas is 23 weeks away. (actually 23 weeks and 2 days). I want to lose a pound a week between now and Christmas. I have been hovering here at 185 since March and need to get motivated to lose some more weight. I am looking for others who want to get slimmer by the Holidays. Your job....weekly weigh-ins and share what is working for you. Who's in?

    I'm in!! My goal is to lose 50lbs by Christmas!! That's only about 2 pounds a week so I'm sure I'll have no problems getting there:happy:

    i did not weight myself this morning so I do not have my exact weight today, but on Sunday, it was 234.6 and my goal weight is 170...but for Christmas, I will set my goal for 185. That's about 2 lbs a week for me too.

    I'm in! I need to lose 46 more before Christmas! I didn't think It could be done but I have done awesome in only 3 months!
    Current weight- 181 lbs.
    By Christmas- 135 lbs.

    I'm in! I am currently at 197. I want to lose 1-2 pounds a week, about 45-46 pounds by Christmas (and my 25th Birthday!!!)

    The company I work for is encouraging us to workout and even allowing leave time to do so. No excuses to not show up at the gym!!

    I am so in!!! I have a hard time reaching goals, maybe I set them to high, so I am going to go for 1.5 per week that's 34lbs so I will go for 30 lbs by Christmas. That would put me at 178lbs and my ultimate goal is 145-150 so that makes me soooo close!!! Thanks. This is a really cool thread!!!

    So what did you all for breakfast? I had 2 eggs over easy, 1 piece of toast, and a yogurt with a little bit of kashi crunch.

    I had a fruit smoothie with mixed frozed fruit and fat free yogurt, yummy! Just trying to decide what to have for my 11:00 snack, I'm thinking Quaker instant oatmeal which should keep me full until lunch at 2!

    Okay, so, I had a piece of Strawberry cake this morning for breakfast. I decided a couple of weeks ago that I would bake a cake every week, give away half, and my family of 3 would have the rest. So, last night was cake night. I think I will postpone my cake baking project until I can have more control. I am a sweet junkie.

    BUT, I packed 1 cup of bing cherries and a medium sized salad with 1/4 cup reduced fat cheese, 1 tbsp reduced sodium bacon bits, and light Catalina for lunch (I usually use less than 2 tbsp).

    I had for breakfast a Yoplait Light key lime pie yogurt, a serving of better n eggs, and a special k bar.All with two glasses of water.

    This sounds like a fun challenge ... I would love to try it too. The only difference is that here in Canada Eh our Thanksgiving is October 12th this year so I've added that to the list for us Canucks. My goal is to lose 30 lbs. by Christmas to bring me down to 159 lbs. Yay ... good luck all!!

    I had a package of Quaker Weight Control oatmeal, a banana, and a large Tim Horton's coffee with double milk.

    For breakfast this morning I had a broccoli cheese omelet made with 2 egg whites, 1 egg, 1 cup broccoli and 2 slices of cheese. I wish I could learn to eat this without the cheese.

    Have you tried Kraft naturals fat free cheese? It's really not that bad...you get use to it. Every now and then, I will treat myself to 2% cheese or 1/4 of the amount I normally use of full fat cheese.

    hew memaw! Nice to see you here too! We're both Final Meltdown-ing!

    For breakfast: cheese sandwich on wheat bread with tons of mustard. Would love to eat Kashi, but have to save it for wekends as it makes me *pfttffttt* too much for work.:blushing:

    Count me in too! I think Christmas is a great time to be my goal weight. And much more logistic (for me). Had a very rushed morning this morning, so all I had was a 1/2 cup of Danon Mixed Berry yogurt. I was starving by lunch tho! But, now, my tummy's filled again, and I am content. :smile:

    I am in!!! today is a start to a new eating plan, so hopefully that will help as well. I started P90X the beginning of June and have gained about 2 lbs. I think it is more muscle. I have lost 9 1/2 in the last 3 weeks. My goal is to lose 20 lbs before my birthday in October. Here is to being thinner and happier!!!
    On a side note, I have made a goal to not weigh for 3 weeks, so for now my weight will be the same. Then I will start hopefully putting in lower numbers. I am glad that I found this thread, thanx for the challenge.

    I really need to loose weight before I graduate (may! -woot!) b/c being in a health profession its not really fair to my patients or to myself! and by christmas would even better better!

    Congrats on starting the couch to 5k! You will do great. I just ran my first 5K on 4th of July weekend and am addicted.

    Seems like everyone was able to have a grear breakfast this morning! Good for all of you.

    So now I am going to ask what did you have for lunch? Remember tell the truth we are all here to help.

    I had McDonalds :noway: ...I was good tho. I had a side salad with 1/2 packet of lowfat dressing and apple dippers with caramel and then 1/2 cup of cherries.

    I have only had 1 glass of water today.:drinker:

    I like the idea of the longterm challenge to keep me going. we've been doing biggest loser at work and I need something to keep me going when that's done.

    Start weight: 199lbs (I started at 215 so I'm pretty happy at FINALLY being below 200!!)
