  • 10 - 17 lbs? Thats quite the range! I'd love to join you, I'd be ecstatic to lose 10 lbs, to me that even sounds a bit lofty. But, nonetheless, that's what I'm shootin for. Cw- 163.5 Gw- 153.5 dec 1 Height- 5'5 I'll achieve this mostly through diet. I'll also make it a goal to walk at least 30 min/day. Are we doing check…
  • Omg... I've been operating under the impression that MFP INCLUDED the calories from produce stickers. Mother Effer, all this time, all those apples... You think that may be the cause of my plateau, my initial weight gain, and other non-relevant but serious problems? Thank u for bringing this to my attention
  • Awesome, thanks! One new friend makes the post worthwhile :D
  • Wow, thanks! 55 lbs in just four months, that is so inspiring! Yes I'm very excited for the winter to come and working out becomes fun and effortless Congrats on your loss!
  • That's awesome! Complete opposite of me, I start strong then taper out. What's ideal protein?
  • Yes! Stabilization! That's where I failed, those later phases are just as important as actually getting the weight off in the first place. Good luck to you and getting back on track, you've done an amazing job so far, congrats on 23 lbs, can't wait til I'm in your shoes! I'm sending you a FR, I think we can help each…
  • Oh man this post almost sent me into a mini panic attack until I read that our mothers day isn't until may! I would feel like a horrible daughter! I guess I would just never know though if it wasn't for all the commercial advertising, how sad is that? Happy mom day UK!
  • Whaat!!? I'd date you! Seriously, I think if you're asking this question, than the weight issue is impacting you way more from the inside than the outside. Meaning for the most part, it's all in your head! That little anecdote an above poster threw in about that guy thinking she was 'out of his league' is right on the…
  • 30 lbs, yeah that's definitely a huge difference! You must be stoked! Awesome job man keep it goin :D
  • Well congrats on your 25 lbs so far, that's awesome!!! Do you log EVERYTHING you eat when you binge/cheat? I find this really helps the next time I want to cheat with that same food, I think of the calorie content from the last time and it makes it a lot easier to avoid. Something that stopped my binging completely was…
  • I dunno about cars, but definitely riding a motorcycle all day, ESPECIALLY when it's cold out there, feels like a workout the next morning!!
  • Wow what a huge difference! Your stomach is so much leaner now! Great job and keep it up
  • Not sure why everyone is hatin' on your list of 'no-no' foods! I have a very similar list myself and it is totally working. Honestly, I'm the same as you! I want the FASTEST way to get the weight off! But really, it is all about patience and perseverance. Keep up the good work, 10 lbs is so awesome!! Drink lots of water,…
  • Hey, ^this is awesome!! I really wanna join you guys in this challenge, I would love some low carb support, but the problem is that I do not own a scale. I go by measurements. Right now I'm 35-29.5-38 and I'm REALLY trying to get down to my pre-holidays/vacation measurements of 34-28-36.5 So I can't really be a part of the…
  • For whatever reason I've always found that drinking, even in moderation and within limit, always hinders my weight loss. If I drink once a week I find the rate at which I lose slows dramatically. I can still lose while drinking, but cutting it out altogether makes it sooo much easier!
  • Ohhh, I get it. I was going to ask how it was possible that I felt so good and yet was starving myself. You make a good point, it was because my body still had fat to burn. So that's not necessarily a bad thing, because I did eat loads of protein to preserve LBM. what you're saying is it's dangerous once I get to the point…
  • Was I? See I always wondered about that, I find it quite curious. I ate massive amounts of veggies, fish, chicken and small amounts of nuts and oil. I NEVER felt hungry, weak, ill, etc. In fact I'd never felt better. The fact that someone could say to me "you are starving yourself" would have completely confounded me. If…
  • In my own experience, there is nothing wrong with a big deficit as long as you are exercising!!! I was always super confused about the whole eating more to lose weight thing. When I had a super labor intensive job, sometimes I struggled to net above zero for the day, and during that time I lost a TON of weight! I went from…
  • Never heard of the diet but netting below 1200 doesn't necessarily equal metabolic destruction, who told you that? Last spring I had a super labour intensive job that burned between 1500-2000 cals a day. I was doing low carb at the time and struggled to eat as many calories as I was burning, let alone an extra 1200 on top…
  • *Day 9 BPC update* Okay, so I've been doing BPC every morning for 9 days now and these are my results: • After the first 3 or 4 days, I've noticed a larger daily caloric defecit. During the first few days I had a tendency to make up for the feeling of fasting by eating larger portions later in the day. This may be because…
  • I tried this for a couple months, eating 1800-2000 a day but it didn't really work for me. I got impatient when I only lost 3 lbs in that time and my body wasn't changing either. I found success when I shifted my macros around and stopped focusing on calorie count. I switched to low carb a month and a half ago and now am…
  • Have you considered a cheat day/meal? Give yourself once a week where you get to indulge in your favorite foods, healthy or not! This is sometimes effective for people who have a hard time giving up their fav foods completely. It's easier to stay on track the other 6 days/week if you know that you only have to wait a few…
  • Ive been keeping my carbs under 30g net per day, as per "Carb Nite Solution" and having smashing success! I feel great, full of energy, and astounded at the rate my clothes are getting looser!
  • A super congratulations to you and your health achievements! You must feel amazing, inside and out :) I also thoroughly enjoy the title of this post, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
  • Good for you guys this sounds like a great challenge!! One thing though, I used to do the morning only for carbs thing until I recently read an article saying I had it all backwards! Apparently carbs in the morning may halt your fat burning potential and carbs are best consumed post-workout. Check it! "Your body’s…
  • Haha, I wish! I have big troubles making my daily calorie goal :( Alright, Reading back this post it does sound a bit harsh. I'm just pretty tired of hearing people who have lost weight bash other methods of weight loss simply because it's not the same route they took. I guess when I read the terms "ridiculous fad" and…
  • How do you feel about walking?? It's so great for weight loss! You can take the little ones with you, it'll be great for them as well. Plus if you have the little one in a stroller you will burn extra cals. Doesn't need to be a long walk, 20-30 min a day has huge health benefits. Great job on your weight loss so far and…
