  • Yes! Those little suckers are addictive. The only thing that keeps me from eating them is they are so freaking expensive. Back in my younger days I would buy the 2 pound tub at the warehouse stores and just snack away. Love them, but my wallet doesn't. Good source of protein and healthy unsaturated fats though, so not all…

  • PB2 is not "dehydrated peanut butter" it is peanut flour. It's the waste product of what is left of the peanut after the fat has been pressed out to make peanut oil. Mixing it with water does not "make peanut butter" since you would need oil for that. Just eat real peanut butter.. it's not bad for you.
  • 6"1 Male - 32 years old Heaviest weight - 355 MFP Starting weight - 308 Lowest weight - 237 (this is from a couple months ago, otherwise you'd have to go back to middle school to be lower.. so lowest adult weight). Current weight - 248 - been back sliding some since Christmas, gotta get back on the ball! Goal - 210 Kinda…
  • Arrrggh... this is the ONE show I miss right now with not having cable. Season one was AWESOME and I've read all the books except the most recent.. waiting on that one to come out in paperback. I'll have to buy them on DVD and watch them since it's probably going to be a long while before I have cable again (if ever, it's…
  • The last two years I've run a new years race (starts at Midnight) here through a local park that has huge christmas light displays. It's so much fun to run through the lights and they have snacks and hot chocolate. Of course the last two years it's be really cold!
  • You said Nutrition facts... he gave you nutrition facts.... buddy.
  • He's considered black so they could make a big stinking deal about him being the "First Black President".. which again.. why does it matter? As a (mostly) white man, that's not the reason I voted for him at all. I'm mostly white european but I do have some native american in my bloodline. Although like someone mentioned…
  • Eat more........ NEXT...
  • Fat is 9 calories per gram. Protein is 4 calories per gram. % on the label is based on physical composition, not calorie content. You sir, are an idiot.
  • I firmly believe in eating what you kill.... but it's hard to split one squirrel between two grown men.. but we shot it so we ate it. (we cooked other stuff thankfully we weren't relying on our hunting prowess).
  • Ice Age is Fox Dreamworks, not Disney. (Great movies but just not Disney)
  • Lion King Alladin Finding Nemo Brave Fantasia
  • I like turkey sausage, but turkey bacon just strikes me as "too fake". There's something recently that I decided that the "low fat" version was just not worth a savings of 10 calories, but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was... LOL
  • Also, for Military personal you're talking about daily activities such as marching and PT. My dad told me once that if I joined the military (even in modern times) that they would feed me 5000 calories a day and I would still lose weight. He wasn't joking. Could I have survived Basic at 350 pounds no matter how fast I lost…
  • Do you track saturated and unsaturated fats separately? I get a lot of my "fat" from peanut butter and almonds which both have a lot of unsaturated fats. If I am "over" on my total fat goal, but stay below my "saturated fat" goal, I am happy with that. I don't limit my "good" fats. I'm not sure the make up of coconut oil…
  • Start slow and easy, you have a ton of time! Don't overwork yourself. Have fun!! Good luck!
  • Thank you man, come home safe! I got a running store gift card from my parents for new running shoes, a RunDisney tech shirt and some assorted cool stuff from my brother and sister (including the belgian beer i'm currently enjoying). Although, my girlfriend is flying in on friday and staying the week of new years so that's…
  • My family's dinner was on Sunday, so already got that out of the way. The Y is closed today, but I am going for a long walk this morning around the lake with some friends. So that's my "workout" for today.
  • I don't have kids yet, but if that's what she wanted (i.e. pointed it out in the store) then yes.. why not? Anything to make her happy. My and my sister are a year apart and we played together and shared toys. I think we had plenty of joint GI Joe/Barbie adventures. Nothing wrong with it.
  • My cycle class is pretty even split of men and women.... Yoga on the other hand is a different story... I'm often the only man in there.. it was awkward at first, but now all of the instructors and most of the "regulars" know me so it's not bad anymore...
  • Wait... are there people out there who DON'T know this? Constantine did this many many many years after Christ's birth and death, along with completely re-writing the bible to suit his own tastes. I'm not even a practicing Christian and I know that. That's why there are many versions of the Bible to begin with as Kings,…
  • Actually... weight and volume are totally unrelated.... what you're looking for is density which is weight per unit volume... muscle is more DENSE than fat.
  • Yes yes yes... you don't have to run a 5 minute mile to be a "runner".... If it's faster than a walk (and a 15 minute mile is a BRISK walk, anything faster than that aint walking) than it's RUNNING. Congrats on your success and many more miles ahead of you!!
  • Not all kinds of eating are fatal........
  • I just saw this on a sushi menu, a combo of several spicy rolls and sashimi with spicy sauce called a "Screaming O".....
  • BMI charts and words like "Obese" do not even apply to children of this age. I can understand "overweight" but not in the same way as it means for adults, and more seriously for kids would be "underweight"... She looks perfectly healthy to me. Tell the school to shove it. She's a GROWING GIRL for goodness sake.
  • This is actually not true... there's not a high enough dosage of tryptophan in turkey to have this effect on you. Only pure high doses have a sedative effect. What actually makes you sleep after a huge holiday meal is a large portion of your blood rushing to your midsection (and away from your head) and also an increase in…
  • I'm not logging.. but I'm also not deviating from my routine.. I'm running 5 miles in the morning before I hit the road.. so to me it's a wash.
  • Simply... No. Granted a little bit of real sugar is not going to hurt you, but as someone who formerly had blood sugar issues I can totally understand.
  • I met my gf on here... hopefully future spouse? :)
