  • i live in australia and my mum is filipino and spanish, my dad comes from scottish heritage.
  • I usually eat similar things for breakfast, like eggs, and some oatmeal... separately of course, lol. But have variety for lunch and dinner. Snacks are usually the same, rye crispbread with peanut butter and banana.
  • Nice, I will try this. My sugar cravings have been a little crazy lately.
  • I used the "ive just had a baby" line for like 8 months lol, I lost, then gained more weight than when I was pregnant. It's absolutely doable, but so hard at the beginning, I guess it's getting past excuses and getting up and actually doing something about it :) Good luck, it's awesome that you've made the first step to…
  • Brisbane here :)
  • Awesome! It took me my second time on here to really hit it hard and get serious. Good luck to you lesbian vego! :)
  • Me, I want a butt! lol I lost 32 kilo and have no butt :( I do alot of leg exercises, but really need to focus on the glutes.
  • I wish I had the option to enjoy the scenery of a non stationary bike, but I have a 21 month old child and Im a stay at home mum so that makes thing very difficult. So unfortunately, the only view I get is really bad really tv in front of my stationary bike, lol.
  • Just try and build up your endurance slowly. I only have a stationary bike, but when I got first it, the first 10 minutes killed me on medium level, lol. Now I use the max level and do about an hour a day. Just start small and work your way up each today so you don't feel like you're in absolute agony :)
  • One of my friends (who was drunk at the time), started crying and asked me, now that I was "skinny" and "hot" was I still going to be their friend. I found it kinda cute. But then I slapped him over the head and said of course. Haha :)
  • Welcome! I'm trying to maintain at the moment too :)

  • I quit weed when I was 19 and lost 20 kg. I know some people who are really skinny on it, but I have no idea how they do it. It made me lazy, unmotivated and bad with money. I could never be as healthy as I am right now while smoking weed. Everyones different, but maybe you should consider at least cutting down... losing…

  • I did it the way I tried to avoid all the years in my life because I thought it would take too long - exercise and changing my eating habits. Didn't really take as long as I thought it would to see results, wish I'd started sooner. It's just changing little things, like drink more water, drink green tea instead of soda,…
  • Australia here :)
  • Oats aren't a bad carb though.. may be tmi, but they go right through me, lol. And everything else seems to go along with it. Bless fibre.
  • Never give up! You'll want to start again later down the track and wish you'd just kept going from now. You can do it, just looking at some of the results on this forum should tell you it's not impossible. Be strong, I believe you can do it :)
  • You can do it! Research healthy food, get some good people on your support system and you'll be fine :) It's a bit daunting at the beginning, but once you start seeing results you'll ask yourself why you didn't start sooner :)
  • I'm kinda maintaining right now, so I set my settings to lose .5 lbs a week, then I just eat whatever I want on the weekends, works well for me :)
  • Nice way of thinking :) I'm doing a course on nutrition too!
  • I gained alot of weight my last pregnancy too.. and even more after I gave birth, cuz I was a junk food fanatic. As long as you try and eat healthy most of the time and stay away from too much processed food you should be fine :) Good luck on conceiving how exciting!! :)
  • I'm from Australia and we're metric kg loggers here :) Feel free to add :)
  • I love oats, full of fibre, classed as a superfood.. as long as they're within your calorie intact you can't really go wrong :)
  • I didn't really log properly or weight myself for 2 weeks over christmas, I ate so much, but came home to weight myself and I'd lost 2 kg lol. It's like my metabolism is working alot better these days. Now I give myself the weekends/holidays to relax and not log as long as I can get myself back to eating healthy eating at…
  • I'm in Australia, and my course costs are covered by a company called VET, which means I don't have to pay back the $25, 000 fee unless I'm earning over $40, 000 a year in installments, and if/when I am, I sure won't mind :)
  • Love it! That's inspiring! Oh I mean when people ask me for a "secret" like there's a certain pill or fad diet I should be telling them about, when I start talking about nutrition and exercise some of them just don't want to hear any more, lol.
  • If you love the sugar crash effect and want to feel like crap all day, then yes.
  • Carbs aren't evil if you eat the right ones! I learnt that the hard way. Was so tired at the beginning of my weight loss journey. Wholegrains and fresh fruit and vegetables are the key. :)

  • Weight does tend on creep on like that, I used to remember seeing pictures of myself and just justifying it by saying it was a bad angle, lol. Good for you for deciding to make a change! It's alot of hard work and dedication but you'll love yourself at the end of it for everything you've put in :)
  • It's never too late, good for you for deciding to make a change!! :)
