I do not always count it, but when I have done major deep cleaning, moving boxes, etc beyond the norm, I do. My dryer broke, so right now I am carrying big loads of clothes down the road to my in-laws house to dry. I walk with it, so I sometimes count that.

Congratulations! You look wonderful!

This is great motivation.

Very well said. I teach middle school, and the girls who are not overweight, think they are. It is horrifying to see them dieting! (Yes, I talk to them to encourage healthier habits.) It is also a shame when a child is very overweight, and does not want to make any healthy choices or exercise. I have 3 boys between 11 and…

I quit logging for a while too. I had lost 21 pounds, but gained some back over the holidays. You can do this. One day at a time!

Congratulations on your anniversary, and your accomplishments! You look great!

You are right when you say you need to change what is inside. It is not too late. You need to celebrate the fact that you have done something incredible for yourself. You have changed to a healthier lifestyle, lost weight, and are probably avoiding some major health issues. Maybe you need to talk to a friend, pastor, or…

I can see a difference in your waist and thighs. Keep it up. You look great!

That is awesome! Keep up the great work!

More than likely, you are. Sometimes it takes our bodies a little while to start showing weight loss. Check how much sodium you have daily, and make sure you are drinking enough water. Within a couple of weeks, you should start seeing pounds and inches come off.

Those are great successes, and yes, they will lead to weight loss and a healthier you!

Congratulations!!! That is really something to celebrate!

Im in. Ive been yo-yoing too. I did great over the summer, but once I started back working as a teacher, it fell apart somewhat. I maintained most of the weight loss (19 lbs) from then. Back and forth on the last 2 pounds, but the exercise was all but gone. I walked yesterday, and trying to figure out where to fit more in…

We all have those days. You have the right attitude that this is a new day! It's okay to enjoy and even indulge once in a while, but letting it become a lifestyle would be detrimental. So have an awesome day today!

Time management is hard. I know. Those extra long hours seem to be the time I definitely don't want to go home and cook because I'm already hungry. Do you have a crock pot? Mine is a life-saver. There are so many healthy options you can throw in it in the morning and come home to a cooked meal. I cook roasts, ribs,…

Thank you. That really was great information!

The point is you are back again. You only really fail when you decide to permanently quit. Do what is right for you and your body. I have been a little more than half-hearted the past month, and I have lost very little, but I got up this morning and walked. Trying to get serious again and do more. Welcome Back!

Congratulations! What an inspiration! You can really see the difference!

That is awesome! I think I am going to go for a walk soon!

More than likely, it will come down if you exercise, lose weight, and cut out the sodium. All of that factors into your blood pressure. Most people do see it gradually come down.
-
Welcome. You will find great support here. The tools help too. I can relate to not realizing how many extra calories I was eating, even in so-called low-fat or light foods.

Welcome!

Once in a while, when I'm really craving chocolate, I will make chocolate milk with skim milk and sugar free chocolate syrup. The milk is only 80 calories/cup and the syrup is just 15 calories/2 tablespoons. It's not too bad, and curbs the craving for something much higher in calories.

Are you also exercising, especially in the evening? I know that I seem to get more energy when I exercise. I started doing everything in the mornings, but had to switch to the evening when I started back teaching. I do have more trouble sleeping with that. You may also look for caffeine and sodium in your meals; both can…
