I am 5'4". I started at 229. Currently 165. Want to get to 140 because that will put me in normal BMI. Would be thinner than I have been in years and years, though.

My husband reads, my male colleagues read, my son-in-laws read, my father reads. To the best of my knowledge, none of them are women.

When I couldn't walk 1/4 mile without pain and the physical therapist looked at me and said, "Your back is going to hurt until you lose weight and start exercising." That was November 2011 and 63 pounds ago. I still have 27 more to go and I intend to finish what I started because I feel and look so much better! Thank…

A great idea I read on here (if it was you please claim) was to mark a dowel with measurements for your large pots. Pour in a cup of water - mark-another cup-mark, etc. Then once a recipe is made and you enter all the ingredients you also know how many servings you have in terms of cups and it makes it easy to serve…

We peel them, slice lengthwise in about half inch slices, spritz VERY lightly with olive oil, sprinkle with nutmeg and allspice and grill them on the grill until just fork tender. They get a yummy caramelized flavor of sweetness with no added sugar.

I tend to not use my vacation days at work and lose them so I have decided to take a day off work for every 10 pounds and have a spa day with a massage and mani/pedi. It is working!

I think you would prefer the HRM. I have the Fitbit and I love it but almost all I do for exercise is walk. It motivates me to do so by tracking steps, miles and hills (stairs) but I don't really count calories with it. I know it sends an adjustment over here every day but I don't eat my calories back the way you do. I…

The program set me at 1200 in November and I have been following it successfully. I am 60, 5'4, in a sedentary job, and had 90 pounds to lose. I set it to lose 2 pounds a week but it went down to 1200 and said that was 1.5 pounds a week so I don't have a lot of leeway, I guess. On days I exercise I go up to about 1350-1400…

Hi. I have been here for about six weeks. Like you, I have pain issues. When I started I couldn't walk 1/4 mile without pain in my back. But I mapped out short walks and just kept adding a little at a time. No rush. Yesterday I actually walked a full mile without pain and I have now lost 16 pounds. I am also 60. So we can…
