I have never gotten 600 calories burned while doing 30 mins of walking. Ever. The most I've ever gotten was 250 and that was while doing walking + some running. Lol. I just use the estimates because purchasing a HRM is out of my budget. Maybe in the future I can get one, but I've been losing weight pretty consistently w/…

if it hasn't been suggested tandoori chicken is a great easy idea for chicken breasts. you can find a variety of recipies but basically yogurt + lots of spicy spices + lemon juice + chicken breasts then put them in a pan, cover with tinfoil, and crank the heat up super high for a brief time and it cooks pretty quickly.…

Because it's no one's business but my own (or the few people I have friended) what I eat and how much I exercise a day? Personally, it kind of creeps me out if people are creeping other's diaries and making comments about it. Sometimes I don't log in, or I only log half a day (this rarely happens anymore), so I don't need…

I would seriously bring that up with my mother and not want him around anymore. Because all I could think of is he'd say that to me, what about my children, especially when they got older? What a *kitten*.

Because it's Islamophobic. The person used Muslim culture to define religion, as in the western world we have this idea that women are very oppressed because of items of clothing like the burqa or hijabi. Extreme modesty is very much not restricted to PoC-dominated cultures/lreigions.

^ This. He's emotionally manipulating you. Would he directly stop you? Probably not. But he will sit there and emotionally blackmail you and make you feel bad for making this decision until you take it down like you did last time. Personally for me, I'd feel very uncomfortable with a partner reacting that way to me.

What's "Really Late" to a person who is awake until 3 am on most nights? What's "Really Late" to someone who works the night shift? I call baloney.

I'd like to see that backed up by some facts.

The same thing could be said for men, too. I do often wonder if the high amount of infidelity is simply because we're conditioned to believe monogamy is the one and only way, and many of us are wired for polyamory. It certainly creates an environment for those who are simply different to grow up to believe their urges are…

Lol. Okay there.

Stopped putting seasoning salt every time I have rice. Stopped having minute white rice. Stopped having one (or more!) Cokes a day. Actually going to the gym to weight train or get on the treadmill. To realize I have the power to change my life, instead of sitting in apathy and self-hatred. (The latter still happens, but…

I lost about 12 pounds in the beginning simply doing walking and jogging. It's all I could handle at that point in time. I think, however, at least 5-6 pounds were water weight. I switched over to weight lifting AND cardio, and I'd like to think I'm seeing better results, even if the scale isn't changing much at the…

Actually, it sort of can. It reacts differently depending on what your habits are like and the time of day (sunlight).

The freak out over eggs is really unnecessary. People think there is only one type of cholesterol, and that it's ALL bad. It reminds me of a group of students at a university who did a study trying to prove that it was technically healthier to eat a Double Down from KFC than have eggs, cholesterol-wise. /rolls eyes

I haven't had any issues, I believe. I have noticed an increase POSSIBLY in my rosacea and the appearance of some strange spotting that I'm going to go see a derm for, but I've had no weight gain that I can attribute to it since I got it last September, or any other major issues. In fact I freaking love it! No more having…

The copper IUD is called Paragard. There is no copper-based IUD by Mirena. :)
-
I'm using an IUD, specificly Mirena. So far I haven't gained any weight because of it. *shrug* Plus, I think it's fantastic I only have to pay once every 5 years. :)

Mine would really burn in the beginning, especially as I was pushing myself. You might need to take more breaks, but don't stop pushing yourself either. Especially if you haven't run before. :) All I can say is that it DOES go away. Your muscles just need to learn to build/adapt first for running. Make sure to do…

It's called "body shaming", one part of a huge collection of shaming techniques primarily used towards woman to demean, debase, and subjugate them into submission or obedience. The picture posted here is shaming the bodies of those who are naturally thin, or those who have EDs. Was that the intention of the OP? Possibly…

Chicken and veggie stirfry. Chicken, potato, bell peppers, and onion. :) Still experimenting with what seasonings to use with it right now. ~270 calories for a serving, and it's pretty big.

Considering that the recommendation is for "8 glasses" a day or EQUIVALENT to, I'd say that yes, it certainly does count. Or else, I've been doing it wrong when I've been adding in the water I put with my protein shake.

If you have the money and time, try going to a dermatologist. You can use a combo of a retin A and glycolic acid to lighten stretch marks that are still red/bright in color. Won't get rid of them entirely, but can lighten the skin or tighten it. I've also heard good things about dermarolling. I'm considering using one when…

Portion control, basically. Unless there is a way for me to have a very specific portion, I'll often overeat. That, and it's hard to calculate where I get my pizza from because it's such a small shop, so I have to guess by what's already in the database. That, and for the calories in two slices of pizza I could be having a…

The image's message is meant to shame those who either have disordered eating or are naturally skinny. No where in that image or the image's message did I see anything that would actually HELP people with ED's help recover. It's just body shaming.
-
If people starve themselves to look that way it's because they have a DISORDER. It's not something a person chooses to do and then can suddenly snap out of it at the glance of a picture. That, and the idea of a very thin, bone-protruding female being more beautiful than another has been that way for several years. I was…

I saw a physio as well, but that was for my bursitis. After some meds and exercises I was basically told to wear an insole in the shoe for the shorter leg that was cut just beyond the heel to help lift it up. I haven't been very faithful in wearing it though, only because I haven't had many issues. This is definitely a new…

From my mother: "You shouldn't eat late at night! How do you think your grandmother (her mother-in-law) got so fat?" or "Why are you eating so late?!" In that whiny, loud voice. It's worse than nails on a chalkboard.
