  • I started my own program at first doing walking for 2 blocks, running for 2 blocks, etc. Then I started the C25K program and I've unfortunately been doing for almost a year and haven't completed it yet. I will get their, mine is mostly breathing. I'm stuck on week 4 now because I can't fathom doing 10 minutes straight...I…

  • I just log it as running at 5 mph, When it is divided up on Map My Run it has me down at 4.6 usually to complete it, so I see it as close enough.....
  • Maybe he was thinking he could get you some low fat sherbet or some "skinny cow" ice cream. Though you worked out something like that with minimal calories would be satisfying but not blow your whole day. I know my hubby has done that for me before, kept it "light" for me.....at least I hope that might have been the…
  • I think just the fact that you got up and went and did it that is soooo much important, but I love your witty reasons. I bow down to you, I'm in week 4 as well and have been doing that for three weeks now......sigh. Looking ahead to what week 5 is there is no way in heck that I will be able to do that and until I MASTER…
  • Hahaha, gotta love it. Yeah, I'm the same kind of person at work...
  • I bring my gym clothes to work and change before I leave so I just have to stop and work out. Otherwise, I'm like you, if I have to go home and get changed and go back out I most likely lose it because I get sidetracked. Depending on what I'm doing too depends on the incentive. If I decide on doing the stationary bike I…
  • I would love to work with you and do this together....I too seem to be stuck for the last month. I know, it's only a month but I seem to be getting stuck literally after every 5 pounds I lose. I'm not over 250, I'm currently stuck at 244!! I started my journey at 296!

  • I am only one Week 4, I got stuck on Week 3 but I think it was a mental block. I've had a breathing issue for a while so I use it as a crutch...
  • Totally agree with this!! It's all mental and you know when you put something on and you feel it!
  • Ironically, I usually end up continuing the program through the whole cooldown myself, I keep with whatever week I'm on and just keep going with the schedule it is.
  • ^^ This ^^ most of the apps (if you're using one) keeps track of it and then I use that info to put it into MFP. Unfortunately you basically put it in as straight running at 5 mph because they don't have anything else, but running on a treadmill I found that I'm pretty close to it anyways.
  • I am not heavy on top, so I can go with just a generic Hanes sports bra, luckily. Bottoms, yes, I get the lovely flapping too....even though it has gotten progressively less, it's still horrifying. I wear whatever I want and figure that you know, I'm running and it's a badge of honor. But I have found that my lovely pair…
  • You are soooo amazing, you made me cry because I felt everything that you were....I still am. I am going to request you to be my friend, I need to have someone like you as my friend. I too ironically just posted a note on how I started out when I totally realized that I was humongous (though I hid some of my weight well)…
  • Stretch marks only tell you of your progression and how hard you've worked....that's what I think anyways and you know what....you are more beautiful knowing the steps it took to get you there!!
  • I worked out about 3-4 hours afterwards and I was fine. Not sure about cardio, I'm a bleeder....lol, so I wouldn't chance sprouting a leak....hahaha
  • I just lost my ACD and I'm still lost without her on my runs. I miss having my partner, they are awesome coaches.....you will love it!
  • I have always wanted to be a runner but I was always (in my eyes) too big to run. Even in high school and I was so self-conscious that I couldn't image trying because everyone would look and point. Yes, my high school years were horrible.... So, when I started heading to the gym 2 years ago and walking the trails around my…
  • I had a really bad one this time, which I'm usually symptom free or just a bit uncomfortable. I think mine was too much sugar and caffeine caused it but I was bent over with cramps this time. I couldn't do anything for the first day and work was a nightmare. I had bad nausea too, I've never had it that bad so unfortunately…
  • But you're here and that's what matters. Take advantage of all the friends you can make on here and help you along. We're all here for the most part because we need/want to change.
  • Depends on the type of pain you're talking about. It could be your shoes, or just the way your foot is hitting, etc. I have a tendonitis in the right on the outside of my ankle bone which once I put a brace on, I'm doing awesome. Sometimes it may be like you said, just a correction. Need more info to have any idea though.
  • Always welcome for more friends, I have right around 100 to lose.
  • I agree, with some pepper spray is good too...lol
  • I run real early in the morning, to my parent(s) dismay. I used to have my dog run with me but she recently passed and I haven't been able to emotionally get another one yet. I would carry some pepper spray since you can easily hold it in your hand while running. I've been meaning to get myself something like that (since a…
  • If you really want it you can get it done. Get some awesome friends on here that will help you to be accountable and if you still can't do it then its truly not what you want. I can understand, I've been there before and sometimes just bucking up and hopping into the habits of watching your food, getting to the gym or…
  • I had no problem at all running with my girl. She stayed to the side without much need. Just make sure to tell her/him what you need. I would tell her left, right, stop, run, walk and she would understand after the first time what was expected. She knew that only when I stopped to walk or cross street was when she could…
  • Thanks for this, I will check it out when I get home and maybe this will help me start moving again.
  • I totally recommend it. I had a Australian Cattle Dog and she was an amazing dog. I don't have a pic for her and due to being at work I can't post it. But was golden in color but with a coat texture like a german shepherd and features of one as well. She loved running with me and would help to keep me going sometimes when…
  • I also use the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey from GNC. I've tried a whole bunch of theirs and have good luck with them. I've tried the GNC Lean ones too, I have that at work for when I make one on my way to the gym.
