Potatoes aren't really veggies -- they're a starch! Remember that when logging food/counting vegetables. :-) What does he say about sweet potatoes? The general consensus is that those are more healthful than white potatoes.

No, you don't cook the oatmeal by heating it. It gets soft because it absorbs the moisture from the milk and yogurt. :smile:

OMG I LOVE this. I've been eating for a few weeks now and it is so easy and healthful! My fave addition: a tablespoon of organic, no sugar added raspberry syrup and fresh raspberries. Also good: local honey or a bit of maple syrup and blueberries. :-)

If my so did that, I would dump them because clearly they are an *kitten* who cares more about my size than about ME. If my co-worker told me something like that I would tell them what I thought about it. It is horrible. So sad.

I think it also depends on how hard you work when you're cleaning AND what you set your activity level to when you signed up. If your calorie goal is based on being sedentary, then log everything!

I love me some steak. But I think most days I eat chicken, lean pork, or fish. Ooooooooo, marinated pork tenderloin and grilled veggies. YUM!

Not to mention that artificial sweeteners trick your body into thinking it's getting sugar and then when it doesn't get any it can go a little haywire! Some people also believe it stimulates your hunger hormone. Better to avoid them if you can.
