acv and dandelion tea bag in water make me less bloaty. I also like to sip it in water to prevent UTIs. only cutting calories will make you lose actual weight though.

So here is the thing. People on this website will go ape*** whenever anyone references a diet that has a name. It doesn't matter what it is. That is what is going to happen. Similarly, a lot (but not all) people here will attack anyone who has decided to eliminate a food group and tell them they will fail. You haven't even…

someone CAN be happy and SHOULD be happy no matter what their weight. Happiness should not come from any one physical aspect. A person deserves to love themselves for who they are regardless of their weight.

if you wear well-fitting spandex, either leggings or compression shorts under shorts, your undies should stay in place no matter what style. Check out the options at lululemon too.

I spray with olive oil and sprinkle with dry ranch mix (the kind that comes in packets) then bake. They come out delicious!

Just do out the math! At 280lbs you have 80lbs of fat Lets say you lose 80 pounds and 60 of them are fat (I don't know if this is realistic, but just for purposes of doing the math.) If that happens you will be 200lbs and 20lbs of it will be fat. That would be 10% body fat. Now, obviously that may be totally unreasonable,…

I still have a ton of it at about 26% body fat. I don't think it will go away until about 22%. It is probably my least favorite feature of my body (that and upper arm fat UGH!) I feel your pain!

your headache is from cutting caffeine. you will have to wait it out. people hate anyone who does things differently than they do. If cutting out sweets and carbs will help you get where you want to be than go for it.

Do you mean carbonated water? Nothing wrong with that. I don't particularly care for the artificial sweeteners, but I love raspberry-lime sparkling water. Apparently it doesn't hydrate as well as regular water so it shouldn't be your ONLY source of water, but it certainly won't kill your diet.

Thank you! I like a paleo treat now and again. I've been trying to do mug cookies or mug cakes but they aren't the most delicious. I'm definitely going to look this up thanks!

people wouldn't be on this website if natural eating got them where they wanted to be (with the exception of some folks here after a particular illness or medical recovery.) If I ate whatever I wanted I would get to the size I got to when I was so disgusted with myself that I had to start focusing on what I eat. I'm fairly…

Why don't you open up your diary? That could put this issue to rest. edited to add: there is no way you are NETTING 2300 calories per day. you may eat that many, but you must also then be burning 300-400.
-
You are 5'7" and weigh 170 lbs (based on what you say your BMI is.) If you are honestly eating 2300 calories per day and MFP is telling you you will weight 170lbs in 5 weeks then you must be set to at least moderate activity level (probably very active), or you are logging moderate-very active daily activities. This would…

How tall are you? If you are tall 158 is likely in a normal healthy weight range. It can get very difficult to lose once you are already at a healthy weight. A lot of people have a weight where they tend to get stuck. It definitely happens to me in the 140s-150s. Its basically impossible for me to crack into the 130s even…

At 5'8", I don't even count on this scale!! Guess us women over 5'7" are exempt from the craziness. phew!!! If you haven't yet seen her reply to me it was very revealing of her logic. She said if you just eat this much eventually after a gain your weight will stabilizes at its healthiest level. If I ate 3000 calories per…

First of all, until this point you have not said it is just healthier for you specifically. You have said studies show it is healthier for everyone and then refused to cite those studies, but whatever. In response to the bolded: You think that someone who eats above 2300 calories every day will magically "settle" into a…

was anyone saying that the purpose of this change was to help people lose weight (genuine question)? I prefer to eat natural when possible. I don't harbor any delusions that it makes a kitkat healthy. But I'd rather eat a kitkat with all natural ingredients than one pumped with chemicals and preservatives. If you haven't…

I am 5'8, 160lbs and wear a 6 or 8. For my weight it always seems like I am a small size compared to others. I don't know what that's about, it must be the way my weight is distributed or my natural lean body mass or bone size or something. Anyhow, I measure at the smallest part of my waist. Here are my measurements…

Do yourself a favor and visit cashcats.biz . you will not regret it.

Its okay, I think being upside down only adds to the majesty. I too am a lawyer, but I don't have his style or sophistication. I would add my Gus Gus, but she is busy stuffing her face before she returns to her nap. #datsedentarycatlife F, 1'4", 2.25 years old. SW: 12.4 CW:11.6 GW:10. The struggle is real.

I'm cracking up that the sophisticated research she was so confident in involves a TALKING MOOSE INFOGRAPHIC. The general point that people get heavier as they get older is fine. Even the point that being a little under or a little over probably isn't that big a deal. Its also fair to say that genetics play a role. But…

you can just tell that one's a slut for belly rubs.

commenting exclusively to say that this cat is goddamn majestic. I hopes its name is Sir Fluffington McFlufferface.

congrats! You look like you've lost way more than a size!! and I love your attitude and how genuinely confident and happy you look in EVERY pic. Way to go!

Okay, OP. Okay then. Let us just ACCEPT your claim that a 26 bmi is good for health. No one is disputing that that is only a bit overweight. And let's also accept that you are not lying when you say you eat 2300 per day. I'm less inclined to believe that, but for purposes of my questions we will assume its accurate. Now.…

could be water weight in your muscles. training for my first half marathon I only lost like 3 lbs. Then the first two weeks after I stopped working out so vigorously I dropped like 5 lbs without changing my diet. Take a few days off and drink a crap load of water. Might do the trick.

It depends on SO many things. What kind of yoga, how strong you are, etc. The best way to find out would be to wear a heart rate monitor.
-
my understanding of this is that it takes quite a considerable soy intake to have any measurable affect on hormones. but I'm not an expert.

Really? I used the same one here http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ and got a difference of about 200 calories for the example she initially used (6 ft vs. 5'4" I believe) Just did it again. Got a difference from 1902- 2078. So about 175 cals different. Its not a huge deal but its incorrect to tell people its the same. I'm…

its not. but try literally any other TDEE calculator. Any of them. Put in the same weight at different heights. There is a difference.
