  • Congrats to you. When I was pregnant with my first child, I only gained 15lbs. I started at 235 and delivered at 250.1, and he was a healthy 7lbs 8oz. It is possible. While pregnant, I drank plenty of water and focused on veggies/fruit and lean meats (for a while I didn't like chewing meat) and that helped me not gain so…
  • Congratulations!!!
  • I understand about trying to maintain a certain level of peace. However, you've already stated that you are the more responsible parent, so you have to do what's best for your boys. Good luck to you and your future move!!!
  • Eat to live, don't live to eat.

  • GREAT JOB, CRIS. You are truly an inspiration for me. I've been doing this since last year, but I can say that my focus changed greatly in February of this year. So, I'm on to new things and a new me. Congrats, again. Keep up the good work! I don't know where I would be without MFP, too.
  • congrats. you look amazing. keep up the good work.:flowerforyou:
  • congrats. i can't wait to get to the onederlands. so exciting.

  • Hello. I am part of the FAB FOURS group and it is awesome. You weigh-in weekly and you set a 4 week goal for yourself. Each week comes with daily challenges to assist in your "better you" efforts. Hope you join!
  • Hello all. Today we had a holiday pitch-in at work. I didn't do my best, but it could've have been way worst. :ohwell: I won't say that I'll start over tomorrow because I will make better decisions for the rest of the day. I did eat some cake, but I truly thought about it and wanted it. However, I am proud of myself for…
  • Hello all. I'm the newbie of the group. I love everyone's encouragement and dedication in this group, and I definitely love the monthly goal setting and challenges. It's like our very own personal support group. Start Weight: Tues, 12/16 - 238.8 Goal Weight: Tues, 1/5 - 235.0 (This may seem low, but I am a realist and the…
  • Hello all. I know that I'm rather late, but I would love to join this group. I am all about setting many goals, and you guys seem to have a lot of fun. I am challenging myself with what I call 12 days of christmas--it consists of me drinking water only and exercising at least 30 minutes daily until Xmas, no cookies or…
  • Welcome, Charles. I think that many of us on this website have been in your shoes and still struggle with it. However, just acknowledging that you want to change is the most important step. Create a plan for yourself. Make sure that it is realistic and set small goals for yourself. It could be something as simple as…
  • i would love to join this group.
  • i use her from time to time when i just need to get something in. currently i do 3 miles of her 4 mile fast walk with boosted walking (jogging) at least 2x a week. it's a good sweat because it's interval training. if you stick with her, you will see results. my cousin and i worked out with her 4x a week a couple of years…
  • i believe there is a discrepancy in the point differences because some things are like 1 1/2 point, but it says 1. So, if there are any halves eventually they make wholes. by doing the total calorie, fat, and fiber you may get a better points value. for example, an apple is 1 point but a large apple is 2 points. It may…
  • If I question the calories provided, then I usually just research the item on www.calorieking.com. It helps me often. When I find out the real caloric content, then I make my own entry on MFP. Hope this helps.
  • not a whole lot of space, but you do need some dumbbells--probably 2 - 3 lbs a piece will do. hope this helps.
  • thanks for the feedback. i've been looking for one myself.
  • You would probably like Jillian's 30 day shred. It is really good. I started it last Sunday. I didn't think I would be able to do it, but I can. Definitely still trying to get Level 1 down, but there are 3 different levels on her DVD. It incorporates strength training, cardio, and ab exercises.
  • that's not falling off the wagon, it's just a minor stop. I'm not sure who really does what they are supposed to do on vacation. my husband and I are going somewhere the 2nd week of may, so I'm trying to prepare myself now. Gonna try to do my best, but like you I'll just pick back up when I get back. you'll find that those…
  • well, you are well on your way. congratulations.
  • Welcome to this site. It is amazing! You'll have great success here, and it's always good to have a fitness friend to do it with you.
  • congrats on your success!
  • i just started the shred last night. it does require weights right away. i have some 3lb dumbbells that i used (wish i had 2lbs...lol). you might be able to get away with using the larger canned goods until you can get some small free weights. it's a really good workout. i can't imagine that i'll be moving to level 2…
  • I don't even claim to be an expert, but it may be that you aren't eating enough calories considering the amount of calories that you are burning during your activity. A personal trainer once told me that you have to eat in order to lose weight because your body is like a furnace and food is like throwing logs in a…
