I am a keto diet hater. I know I might catch backlash for that, but I truly think its extreme and a poor way to treat your body, despite the fact that I know many people lose weight successfully from it. I think you are right and the water weight is what your'e seeing with the fluctuation/gain. You said you feel like you…

So don't make the same thing for everyday? That seems obvious to me....Especially with something you know you don't like. You could try making, say, 3 different things and alternate them. There is so much more to work with besides chicken...think about things you enjoy eating and start there. I am a big fan of meal…

As a Bodypump instructor, my comment would be that you are comparing apples and oranges. Heavy lifting and bodypump (enduranced based cardio) are two COMPLETELY different styles of workout, which work for different types of people. When I did my "audition" tape to become an instructor I had a few people from the gym in…

There's no rule that says you must eat at any certain time. If your goal is simply to gain weight, then add calories into other meals. No matter what your goal is, it's all about finding what works for you, not what works for someone else. So, I would maybe try having something small with your morning tea then having…

vitacost sometimes has good deals.

you could try PB2, its powdered peanut butter. add two tablespoons to you oats and sweeten to taste, then add water and cook.

I have a similar issue- my schedule is very hectic and irregular at times. I like things that don't need to be heated, like wraps and salads for lunch. Also you can do overnight(refrigerator) oats, 100 cal packs of nuts (almonds are my personal favorite), easy grab and go fruit like bananas, apples, and oranges, baby…

Please tell me how to make butterscotch oatmeal! That sounds amazing!
-
I like it thick and sticky too. I am pretty obsessed with oatmeal in all forms.

Do YOU think you're too muscular?

I love PB as well, but I do try to limit it. I usually I opt for PB2 and spread it on chocolate rice cakes. or JIF whips come in at 140 cals for 2 TBSP instead of the average 190.

I'm not a morning person by any means and do not work out in the AM, however, a good night's rest works wonders. Consider going to bed a bit earlier if possible. Turn off the TV/put the cell phone down. Also, stretching is really energizing for me in the morning, along with a hot shower and copious amounts of coffee.

I do not know of any, but she may want to consider making her own. Pinterest is a wealth of recipes for literally everything one could want, I just looked it up and found several hits. Finding one that high in protein might be tricky but at least it could be a place to start.

I wish. I still surprise people all the time with the colossal amount of food I can eat...

Eating at a caloric deficit will help you lose weight. Yoga, while a wonderful practice for flexibility, stress relief and a host of other benefits, will not directly help you lose weight. Exercise is for fitness, and diet (i.e. your deficit) is for weight loss. Exercise of any form can contribute to the caloric deficit,…

screw celery, I'm with you. I love most vegetables but that's not one of them. I just don't eat it! No one says you have to.

I'm gonna echo this, because she and I are practically in the same routine! :) I do love taking long, quiet walks with my dog in the evenings, it is so important to care for ourselves mentally and physically. Alone/quiet time does the mind and body a world of good, in my opinion.

They hate fruit and vegetables but they grew up surrounded by bad eating habits that probably didn't include these things very much. Try new things, look up healthy recipes and try veggies and fruits in a variety of different ways. They are bound to find some things they enjoy. They are also at ages where if they don't…

That's false, at least here in MD. they have both flavors. I also saw it at Giant Eagle. But I buy mine at GNC

I would definitely consider, as others have suggested, trying vegetables multiple times and eating them different ways. I grew up not enjoying peas because they were always mushy canned peas which taste nothing like frozen or fresh peas. I don't like some veggies raw, but have found they taste great roasted or steamed.…

All that really will make a difference is your calorie intake. There are, however, some fruits with lower sugar content that you could consider switching to if it bothers you.

I saw the triple zero the other day at the store, definitely caught my attention. Now I'm gonna have to try it.

Interesting. I didn't think of it that way. Good thing I had this horrible process completed many years ago never to endure it again. :)

I eat the same things everyday for a week. It doesn't bother me but many people who know about my food prepping habits are horrified by the idea of eating the same lunch, even, 5 days in row. I do change it up based on seasonal/sale ingredients but I also have my common favorite foods (oatmeal, chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt…

Greek yogurt, mashed sweet potatoes, applesauce, soups, smoothies or shakes, even oatmeal would probably work. I'm not sure why Kalikel says no scrambled eggs, they are soft?
-
Always in the morning, minimal clothing, every few days or so.
-
It's personal preference. I'm not a morning person and already have to be up early enough as it is, so I don't torture myself with 5/6 AM workouts. It's just not worth it, so I work out in the evenings.

The key to this post is right here.

I buy everything I possibly can at Aldi! If they don't carry it, I get it from giant eagle, but it seems like every week they add more and more products. They also have organic and gluten free lines in addition to the "fit and active" line for lower calorie options.. Do carefully check produce and expiration dates on fresh…
