It takes time, sometimes it feels tedious, but it does work. I've lost 80lbs and kept it off. Remember that a salty meal or water retention from exercise can sometimes mask losses, but that will sort itself out. Don't panic. Don't let the daily fluctuations mess with your head, it's what happens over time that matters.

I know someone who hurt themselves badly by crossing the street without looking where they were going. You can get hurt doing anything. Sometimes it's your own fault. Sometimes though, it's just not your day.

I wouldn't even bother logging a black americano, the calories would be so low. Unless you're drinking like ten of those triples a day, then it might add up to something, but you're not going to get much sleep if you're doing that, do... I only bother to log coffee or espresso if I'm adding something to it other than water.
