GM! Welcome to MFP. I’ve never used WW but I have had success using calorie counting/deficit methods. MFP helps me stay accountable. You can choose to engage in the community boards if you want, as much or as little as you’d like and add friends for extra motivation. Logging all food and exercise helps you understand your…

You could purchase an inexpensive step, stationary bike or treadmill for use at home. If you don’t want to make a purchase like that right now, jumping rope is a good option as some others have mentioned above.
-
Try walking, jogging or jumping rope for cardio. Maybe purchase a lightweight set of dumbbells for arm/chest/back workout. Check out online videos for ideas on floor/chair/aerobic exercise you can do at home.
-
Might sound silly but try some chair aerobic exercise. Very low impact, can achieve a full body workout, lots of varied routines available.

In my opinion, you don’t need a gym membership to achieve the “toned look”. Body weight workouts paired with cardio can absolutely help to achieve what you’re after but you might want to incorporate other things too. Try some light dumbbells, kettleball, ankle weights and resistance bands too. Those are inexpensive and…

41 yo starting again...

I struggle with staying committed to making good food choices at work and on the go. I need to make time to meal prep and take my lunch from home so this is less of an issue in the future. Wish me luck!

So glad you're cancer free today!! Love that mantra “Just for Today”. Crawl before you walk.

Eat less and move more. Maybe learning some new low or no impact chair exercises would help. Making better food choices will lead to better health overall even if you’re not seeing the scale move right away. Log everything you eat and all exercise each day. Most of all don’t give up on meeting your goals.

Gave up - Soda (not easy) and replaced it with water. Added - More veggies, fruits and excercise.
-
The only thing I have truly decided to give up is soda - Coca Cola to be more exact. I would prefer to eat my calories instead of drinking them and they were adding to my being bloated all the time. Other than that I eat the same foods but practice better portion control and I probably have added an extra helping or so of…

Somewhere with a good salad maybe.
-
I agree with the other responses. You are describing your activity level and if you selected correctly when setting up your profile and goals was not factored in how much excercise you need to accomplish. :-)
-
Eat whatever I want but only half of the portion!
-
Welcome to MFP! You will find cool tools here and lots of friends to keep you motivated! Good Luck!

Funny!

Depo caused me to gain weight initially and although I have not gained any more weight it has made it very hard for me to loose even with a better diet and regular excercise. Most doctors will tell you this is one of the side effects. :-( The way I see it is the only option would be to come off of Depo to see the weight…

You both look fantastic!

Even when its hot outside you have to find a way to get in your meals/calories because it's your fuel. Try lighter foods like, fruit, raw veggies with dip, salads, cold sandwiches, cheese and crackers, or yogurt. I find these foods light and refreshing and prefer them to heavier meals when it's hot out.

Angel food cake or lady fingers, blueberries, strawberries, cool whip. Layer this in a pretty tart or cake dish...red/white/blue/YUMMY!
-
I know greek yogurt is best for you but I prefer regular yogurt.

Punky Brewster :-)

Simply amazing! You did a great job!
-
- Steamed shrimp - apples

My regular deodorant seems to work just fine...Dove.
-
Atlanta here or should I say Hotlanta...lol. I workout indoors.
-
Right after I eat.
-
Yes I have gained with DEPO. :-(

Way to gp!

Agreed! A cheat day here and there is realistic, and will help to keep you focused. If you think you are going to be able to live out the rest of your life on a strict "diet" its not realistic. Lifestyle change is the key and eating what you want from time to time will not undo all your hard work, promise. :-) Enjoy!
