Walk 3 mph for thirty minutes or 3.5 mph for twenty minutes, three times a week. Do that for a month and by then your legs should be strong enough to start jogging. I dropped ten pounds my first month from doing that (and logging of course) and another fifteen the next month when I started running. Having great music to…

I lost thirty pounds. This guy I had never met before came up to me and said, "I think you're really pretty, just beautiful. Sorry, I'm a creeper." And then he ran away. Almost literally, just raced out of the room. I was speechless. That had never happened to me before. His heartfelt compliment blew me away

In January, I weighed 218 pounds and as of this morning, I weighed in at 185. It's only 33 pounds, but it feels tremendous to me, because every pound I burn off is a pound that's lifted from my knees. I feel so much joy for it, which is my biggest motivator. Every day that I go for a run, I think, "this time tomorrow, it…

RUNNING. When I run, I feel incredibly light, like my calves are coiled up springs. So much freedom

The end of inner thigh friction burns. I like to backpack in the summer, but I'd have to wear pants to keep my legs from chafing, and then they'd sweat more and resemble what you're describing. So horrible. Then I lost 25 pounds and now I can hike in shorts this year!

Your excitement made me excited, thank you! I'm happy for you. Great work! Dude, you've lost nearly forty pounds this year! A trip to the zoo is a perfect way to celebrate this victory

You are supah awesome! Congratulations!

Dorm food is the devil. On a meal plan, freshman 15 easily turns into freshman 40, because there's so much food and it's usually scrumptious and unlimited. Ain't nothing wrong with a well balanced selection of Lean Cuisines

Yeah, what sucks once you get to those last ten pounds or so, is that they, for some reason, are significantly harder to take off. Further more, the low calorie approach works best for those that have alot to lose. When you've lost a bunch of weight, your body works more efficiently. Cutting calories tricks it (silly body)…

The best place to start is figuring out what changed your routine. There's a reason why you went over your calories two weeks in a row; stress, or maybe more social outings than usual that could throw off dietary restrictions. It could be just about anything. I've found that being persistent with any kind of calorie…

Permanent slouch, as my shoulders curve inward to support the weight of my awesomely massive cans. Poor circulation, my hands and feet are always cold and look like cadaver parts. And higher blood pressure, extremely irregular menstrual cycles (I miss months often, which does not help with the stress of being overfat),…

I overheard my roommates call me a "banana-fingered lesbian." I then vowed to become hotter than either of them could ever dream to be.

I went from 204 to 182 from September to December (about seven pounds a month.) I cut carbonated beverages, fastfood, milk, cheese, deli meats, and candy. Half my diet is fruits and vegetables and I only drink water. I work out by running about 6 miles a week (slowly) and elliptecal twice a week for half an hour. I don't…

I'm 5'8 and went from 204 to 182 from September to December. I basically made half my diet fruits and vegetables, cut out milk, cheese, and deli meat. No fast food or carbonated soda (sodium). And I work out for about an hour three times a week. It's been hard so far, but I'm a third of the way to my goal of 140!

I dropped 22 pounds from September to November (204-182) by cutting fastfood, carbonated beverages (sodium), cheese, eggs, milk, and deli meats. Half of my diet is raw fruits and vegetables. I exercise five nights a week, spending two at the gym on an elliptical and the other three doing doing a brisk, hour long walk. I…

I gained alot of leg muscle from heaving my fat self around. Now that 20lbs of it are gone, I'm in the best running shape of my life, even better than before I gained weight to begin with.

AHHHHHHH! That's crazy, I just ran a mile for the first time in a long time too! It felt amazing, since the last time I tried running, I was about 20 lbs heavier
-
I actually do average about 1.5 lbs per week. I've only lost 18 lbs (204-186), but I started in September. Food wise, I try (try) to eat only unprocessed whole foods and I generally avoid milk, eggs, cheese, and deli meats. Half my diet is raw fruits and vegetables and I go out to exercise five days a week. I go to the gym…

I didn't really "get it" untill I started losing weight. After the first month, I had lost 12 pounds, but was still put off, because it had literally felt like one of the longest months of my life. Now I'm ten days into my second month, but because of the good eating habits I established last month (I made half of my food…

vegan but for the wrong reasons. I just like the health benefits (energy, clear skin, weight loss, etc)

That's freaking awesome, how'd you do it?
-
I don't know. Yes.
-
No pictures :( But I spent the month of september eating alot of vegetables and walking everywhere (no car) and I lost 11 pounds (204-193)
