  • EXACTLY. This article says just keep eating whatever you would normally eat but just less of it??? lol Hear that, guys??? That means all those donuts, icecream, and chocolate cake I was eating before...I can just keep on eating that way but just eat a little less. Nevermind fruits and vegetables. Just eat a smaller piece…
  • 33 yo mommy of 2 toddlers (ages 2 and 3) and I have 30 lbs left to go as well! I'd be happy to be your fitness friend. :-)
  • I'm a 33 yr old mom of 2 toddlers, ages 2 and 3. I've got about 30 lbs left to lose. I'm also looking to get stronger and have more energy for my kiddos. Feel free to add me for support as well. :-)
  • I have a FitBit and it's integrated with MyFitnessPal so it automatically accounts for any activity above and beyond my set activity level. So, typically, I only count scheduled workouts like TurboFire or ChaLean Extreme. Technically, I wouldn't have to log anything, actually, because the FitBit adjusts my calories even if…
  • 33 y/o mom of 2 toddlers here. I try to log on daily and posts from friends can be very motivating. :-) I sent you a request. If anyone else is looking for positive, motivating friends please feel free to send a request. :-)
  • I used to drink a full pot of coffee every day. Then, I started drinking Shakeology in the morning instead of my coffee. It completely cured me of my need for coffee just to function. Now, I'm enjoying a cup of coffee with caramel while chocolate creamer...not because I have to...but because I want to. I will drink my…
  • Your post made me literally laugh out loud! I'm not sure what to tell you. I happen to be a woman who keeps all of her decorative pillows in the....oh wait...that's right...I don't HAVE any decorative pillows and any "extra" pillows that came with our bed set that aren't actually being used for sleeping are in the closet.…
  • I saw someone on my friends list doing the same thing. Then, I clicked on their profile to see that they had already lost 36 lbs. So, I thought "well, what do I know?"...I've only lost 16. :-) So obviously their settings are working for them. So, I went on my merry way doing what works for me and letting them do what works…
  • I'm not sure. I've never owned a bikini either. My hubby actually prefers one-pieces. He thinks they are much classier. :-) When I get my weight down I might try a bikini out on him to see if he likes it too but I'd be happy to fit into the beautiful one-piece I have hanging in my closest. It's gorgeous!
  • I started out with TurboFire and have lost 13 lbs. I love it! Unfortunately, I wasn't yet up to it physically. It's really intense if you're new to working out. TurboJam is similar but less intense and probably the better choice for beginners. I'm currently doing ChaLean Extreme and I love it but I do squeeze in some…
  • I LOVE my FitBit and I'm so glad that Chalene Johnson, creator of TurboJam and TurboFire, convinced me to get one over an HRM. :-) A lot of people use an HRM during their workouts but use the FitBit during the rest of the day. The FitBit is wonderful for overall calorie burn from daily activity. If all you want to know is…
  • It's truly amazing to look back at old photos to see how skinny I really was. I was so shy and insecure I had no idea. That was when I thought 140 was fat. Now, that's my goal weight. lol
  • I was about 125 lbs in high school/college. After going through 3 pregnancies I've been about 195 for the last few years. I'm now at 172.5 working my way down to about 135-150. I'd love to join your support team here on MFP. :-) Angie
  • Wow! Fantastic! :-) I started at 195 and my goal is 140 as well. Currently at 174.
  • I LOVE Chobani Greek Yogurt. So do my kids. Yoplait Greek Yogurt is sweeter and creamier, if I remember. You might want to try that one. I also mix OIKOS Greek Yogurt with Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt. OIKOS is sweeter but Chobani is better for you, so you get the best of both worlds. I would also try adding berries or…
  • Hi there! I'm a 33 y/o mom of 2 toddlers who's goal weight is also 140. I just sent you a friend request. If anyone else with similar goals would like to add me as a friend as well feel free. I log in every day. I use MFP to log my meals and exercise and I also use FitBit to track my calories burned throughout the day. I…
  • I created a saved meal entry for my coffee as well. I like to account for everything. The only I don't log sometimes is my tea as it's calorie free but I could easily add an entry for that one as well just to remember that I had it. It does have caffeine so it would be nice to remember it for that alone.
  • We had a small (in my family's living room and back yard) wedding and then took off for a week long honeymoon. We normally can't afford a lot so traveling and staying at nice resorts was awesome! I still remember all the places we went and how nice the weather was, and that was my favorite part. I don't regret for one…
  • Thank you very much. That matches up with what my postal scale said. (Still laughing at myself for using it) It's about the size of two decks of cards. I will leave the remaining calories untouched for the day just in case I over-estimated the size. Thanks for helping a newbie to the cooking world. :-)
  • My postal scale says it's 5.8 oz. I guess that will have to be close enough! lol
  • Thanks, everyone! I guess since I have 500 calories left for the night...I can log about half that and that leaves room for whatever I missed. I'll have a small piece. Thanks!
  • I have 2 children, a boy and a girl. I had baby showers for both because we don't have a lot of money and almost everything we have for them was given to us. Neither baby shower was a huge party but a celebration of life with family and friends. Around 20 people max. I did feel kind of guilty for having the second one but…
  • Nice to meet and get to know all of you. :-) If you're a mom or we have something else in common (weight loss goals, etc) please feel free to say hello or send a friend request. I'm loving the encouragement and motivation we can send each other!
  • WOW! So motivating and inspiring. I wear the same size jeans as you did when you first started, although the measurements aren't quite the same in all areas. So great to see someone have such success! Way to go!
  • I'm so very sorry for your loss. :( By the time I got done reading the first few lines of your post I had to hold back the tears. I wanted you to know that he/she is safe in Heaven waiting for you. I know that doesn't make you feel any less heartbroken. I have a friend who had a miscarriage last year and yesterday was her…
  • This is exactly what my husband would say about my stretch marks. :-) I notice them, but I don't dwell on it. My hubby has a scar on his stomach as well, from a car accident. Whenever I see it...I smile...because I know it represents the day God saved his life so He could bring him to me. :-) If you have yours from losing…
  • Exactly. Unless you said something to someone who has or wants children that would make them feel less than worthy because they wanted children...then simply not wanting children in itself isn't disrespectful or selfish.
  • Agreed. I personally don't have any tattoos and wouldn't ever get one. I've seen some women who can pull off a cute butterfly or other small tattoo and still look feminine but once you're covering yourself in them it just loses something. Not attractive to me at all. Not attractive to my hubby either, so that works out.…
  • I'm looking into either getting a FitBit or a Polar HRM. If you could only afford to buy ONE, which would be most beneficial when just starting out?
  • Wow! Great job! You look great! I do see a similarity in the before and after photos. Your beautiful smile! :-)
