I live by "to do" lists, this article makes so much sense.

Open a can of kidney beans, chic peas or whatever kind you have, sauté some onions, garlic and whatever veggies are in the fridge, toss in the beans and in no time you have a yummy stir fry. I always keep plenty of beans in my cupboard, I use them is lots of dishes.

Step one, join MFP Step 2 - make a plan for a lifestyle change not just a diet Step 3 - find MFP friends with similar goals (it really helps to stay motivated  ) There are so many people on this site that really know what they are doing....reach out and ask for help if you need it. Step 4 - weigh and log everything…

I have just recently started walking again and I notice the scales have gone up but I can feel the difference in my clothes. Give your body time to adjust, drink lots of water and just keep at it, it will happen.

I saw a sign the other day that made alot of sense to me......"I always believed I would have the courage to finish.......I just can't believe I had the courage to START". Set small short term goals for yourself and when you reach them set new ones, one huge goal can be daunting. Log everything, you are only cheating…

One bad day will not do as much damage as you might think......just don't have too many. Shake it off and tomorrow drink tons of water and try to work in some exercise if you can. Everyone has days like this, try not to dwell on it as that will make you feel bad and possibly just eat more. Good luck :)

YUMM this sounds delicious, thanks for sharing

One bad day isn't going to make a huge difference as long as you get back to it tomorrow. Take a rest day if you need it, drink tons of water and make yourself do something tomorrow, if not a full workout then a walk or anything that will keep you moving. Skip the guilt if you can, it will only make you feel worse :)

Try grilled or baked salmon or chicken breast, steamed veggies, baked sweet potatoes, veggie stir fry, etc etc. Basically if it comes prepackaged, don't eat it and stay away from sauces they are extra calories for nothing.

This is a one day at a time struggle for most of us. In my opinion never falling off the wagon is completely unattainable, the important part is getting back on track as quickly as possible. I am on here every day of the week (not so much on the weekends) and I try to help when I can. Friend me if you want to.

If your soul needs it DO IT. It sounds like you have so much more on your plate than you should, Just remember that 1 day or even 1 week is not the end of the world. Take a finite amount of time and then get your butt back on track. I hope things get better for you really soon

I stopped eating meat in May. My husband has some health issues and we are doing this to try to help his issues. I have to be very careful not to go over my daily calories as most of what I eat is very high in calories ie: bread, rice, quinoa, pasta. Some days I think it was easier when I ate meat. I do not miss it and the…

I'm back at it after just coasting through the summer, my goals are: Oct down 3, Nov down 4, Dec down 3. I know this doesn't seem like much and should be easy to do but I find myself in a good place where I'm OK with the slow and steady loss so I know I won't be working at it as hard as others.......that's OK it works for…

Everyone is different but I agree if you don't know where you are, you won't know how you are doing.....if the number matters to you, which I think to most of us it does. If you just pick a number and you are wrong, how will you feel down the road when you start losing and decide to weigh yourself and you weigh more than…

I saw a report a few years ago that would terrify any parent. A group of parents were asked it they thought their children would go off with a stranger if approached, everyone said absolutely not, they have been taught about the dangers and are "street smart". A police officer posing as someone who had lost his dog in a…
