  • Welcome John! Way to take a step to better yourself! Good luck!
  • You have come to the right place! Welcome!
  • My date is Halloween 2022! We are doing a costume themed wedding or casual if you don't want to dress up, but I haven't fully decided what I'm going to be yet, probably going to do corpse bride! Hoping to be closer to my goal weight by then!

  • Welcome to MFP Kim. I used SP years ago, but fell off the wagon and came over here, fell off the wagon again, but I'm hoping third time is a charm!
  • 32 Female Mom of a infant. I got about 100 lbs to lose. On multiple times a day, accept all, and love to help motivate others on their journey, whatever that may be!
  • Thanks so much for your insight. I just want to be able to be healthy for my son. I will definitely look into those recommendations!
  • Hey all! I'm new to accountability. I been a member on here back in like 2014 and have been up and down since then. I had a baby in January and I have more inspiration than ever to get healthy. I am doing weekly weigh ins. I accept any and all friend requests and I'm extremely supportive to all. I'll help motivate you and…
  • Thanks both of you! I have not thought about YouTube and will look into those two channels. I did get lucky and do not have any additional stretch marks, scarring well I'm learning to live with that, but I agree it might not be 'perfect' and that's okay because in my eyes my son is 😁

  • Welcome back! I also have been a member for plenty of years, but ready to start my journey again. Wish you the best of luck.
  • The first time I did mfp I lost 75 lbs with just a calorie deficit, so it is definitely possible. Just make sure you are accurately tracking your calories in vs out. Best of luck to you!
  • Good luck! I'm looking to lose closer to 75-100, together we can do this. Added you as a friend!
  • Hi! I'm also close to your weight! I love the goals you set forth for yourself!
  • The most important thing is to input your stats into MFP. It will give you the normal macros and what calories should be eaten. Besides that, it really is a learning curve. There are a lot of different posts that you can get information on.
  • I use protein powder in my coffee when I don't have time to eat breakfast. You can also use it in water and milk. I personally use the vanilla flavoring because it is not as sweet. I do like sweets to an extent, but I was never a chocolate person. I'm allergic to nuts, so I have to stay away from any kind of peanut or tree…
  • Hey! Welcome to MFP. I also have quite a bit of weight to lose. I'm at about 205 with a goal of 125 or so. I already lost almost 40 lbs through MFP, and I have found it quite useful. I at one time got quite crazy with counting calories and wouldn't take vitamins because they had calories. I've learned now that it's okay to…
  • Hi Annie. I understand how frustrating it can be to lose weight. The results won't be immediate and i'm learning that ever so slowly. It is a long journey. It is important to get healthy, no matter what age you are. I post motivational quotes daily and would love to help you succeed. Add me if you would like.
  • It's important to understand that it is a lifestyle change. There are many people who need to track calories forever because if they don't, they will fall off the wagon. There will be a lot of times where it feels like its 2 steps forward and 1 step back. There may be weeks that you don't lose or even gain, but it's…
  • For me, if I add someone to my friends list from the app, I can't like or comment on their updates until I view their profile on the webpage, I don't know if that's just me, but it may be something like that with you as well.
  • Great job! The important thing to make it last is to not deprive yourself of anything. Keep up the great work, and remember consistency is key.
  • My favorite part of the app is that it incorporates my fitbit into it. I love being able to not have to worry about adding that in, and when I update on my fitbit it puts it into MFP and vice versa. Two important parts of helping me lose weight! Good luck! I also have about 90 lbs to lose (give or take, we will see after…
  • Yes, like the previous poster said. You are considered sedentary if you don't have a job that requires at least 50% on your feet and walking every day. Even exercising everyday that is something that if you log it does not reflect on your activity level. If you choose not to log exercising than you could say you were…
  • If you are looking to lose weight, you may want to add cardio into your routine. If you're just lifting weights than your muscle mass will increase, which will make your clothing seem tighter. Tracking all your food is also important too. Too much sodium can make you look and feel bloated which will also make your clothes…
  • It's hard to get back on track once you've 'fallen off the wagon', but you have to remember that you did it once you can do it again. You can eat junk/fast food every once in awhile and still stay within your calorie limit. If you have to start out with smaller portions before eliminating it as a daily adventure than go…
  • You can eat after 8 p.m. Who said you can't? You can eat whenever you want too. It's all about staying within your calorie limit for the day or some people for the week. Save calories for after work and then enjoy the food. Sometimes when you work late it's easier to plan out your day, so if that works for you go ahead and…
  • You don't have to give up late night snacking. It doesn't matter when you consume the calories as long as you stay within your daily limit. Save some calories for those late night snacking. Keep pre-portion sized snacks around so that you just grab a portion and that is it. People think in order to lose weight they have to…
  • The only person that can motivate is yourself is you. You can have people tell you what to do, how to do it, when to do it...but in reality, you have to be the one to make all those decisions. It takes 90 days to make something a habit. If you work out 4 days a week for about 3 months it will be second nature. On days you…
  • Everyone's journey is different and we see weight loss at different times. I personally have lost 35 lbs and have yet to notice any changes. The only changes I noticed are it's much easier to be active. It does get easier, but it took me about3 months of logging every day for it to become like second nature. Try taking…
