  • oh yeah, i totally did that. when i first started my diet it was all about staying within the calories. doing that AND eating clean would've been too tough. sometimes i would just have mars bars for breakfast, 2 ice creams for lunch and so on. strange thing is, i didnt always eat that before. i think there was something…
  • i like slim fast. sometimes there just isnt time for a meal. a quick milkshake can make sure you don't 'crash' and eat something you'll regret.
  • does it count if i was in a tent at the time?
  • i tend to rest until im ready to go again.
  • come on stem cell people! sort this out!
  • I'm quite happy to have people telling me I'm too thin!
  • my advice is don't ever worry about what other people think of your weight target. just ask yourself whether YOU are happy with your target. personally, i use my BF% as the guide for where i want to be and not the opinions of others. some people even told me i needed to stop losing weight, when i had a body fat % over 30…
  • i think the first thing you have to do is take responsibility. the diet itself is perfect, and will work if you follow it. failure to follow it is your fault, not the diet's fault. if you accept responsibility, you will also realise that you have control over this. it is your choice whether to succeed or to fail. i do feel…
  • i never run. its just weights and walking for me. I take my dog for a walk for a couple of hours whilst listening to my favourite radio shows. it's just an easy way to burn calories, and all i've had to do is replace the tv with radio and slip on some headphones. little tip: im not sure how much of the BBC radio sations…
  • does it matter? i mean, when you meet someone you meet them. im afraid that if you want to speed things up, all you can do is get out there and meet more people. or you could try a dating site, but i cant say i'd do that one myself.
  • welshcakes cheeseburger & chips doughnuts and then, i would make myself a nice big chocolate cake made with only the best ingredients!
  • Any body shape can look good if you eat well, do some exercise and reach your personal best.
  • I'm not sure I've had it as bad as the OP, but I have certainly found myself eating something on auto-pilot. it's like any habit.
  • I'm thinking of repeating it, but this time with a weighted vest.
  • i do a 10% incline @ 11kph or 6.8mph. 40 secs run 20 secs rest for 30 mins. it just seems to be a workout that i enjoy. it's challenging, and i don't seem to get bored because im not running for more than 40 seconds at a time.
  • my bottoms fell half way down my bum whilst i was walking my dog yesterday. i'll be grabbing something cheap to tide me over and stop me getting arrested for indecency!
  • 25lbs was about when i thought, "ok, its starting to fall off now". at around 15lbs i noticed a big difference in my legs.by 20lbs i noticed my ribs/chest/shoulders were more defined. by 25lbs i really noticed my jawline and for some reason that is when it hit home that things were really changing. changes since then…
  • yes! i used to struggle with squats and lunges, and would avoid them, until i learnt how to do them as you just described. now im getting some serious results in my bum and thighs. if you get the technique wrong, you can do some serious damage and then you can't workout for months :(
  • Go Directly to a Doctor. Do not pass go. Do not collect £200. Go straight to a Doctor!
  • i've been there and experienced a bit of it. both through looking in the mirror and by looking at the stats i know im healthy, so i just ignore the comments now. it does annoy me that someone in my family would try to sabotage my diet in such a way, but im not so bothered by it these days. like the OP, i don't know why…
  • 1. You're attractive. Men will show an interest in you. There are worse things in life than that. 2 - 5. agreed.
  • i have sympathy for overweight people, because i used to be one. i understand how you can end up being overweight, and we shouldn't really judge. i have a certain respect for people who accept that they eat too much but just want food more than they want to be thin. it is their life choice, a bit like smoking, and we…
  • you'll encounter all kinds of attitudes. i think some of them are probably legitimate. i mean, your friends may not know what you look like thin. heck, you may not even know yourself! there is also the possibility that you've lost a bit of muscle as and are looking a bit thin. however, you will encounter jealous comments.…
  • since being on this diet i have: a) become more hairy b) become more, uh, interested in the ladies shall we say (and i never considered myself to have a problem in this department) c) seen my ribs fully for the first time d) seen a clear outline of my abs (more to come on the abs i think) e) i can actually make out my…
  • i suspect most dieters do the 'good' food 'bad' food thing: 1. stop eating 'bad' foods 2. weight falls off 3. fall off wagon and quit diet halfway through OR 4. achieve weight goal before eventually slipping back to bad foods. there are of course other issues surrounding weightloss such as a basic refusal to take…
  • i've lost 37lbs. when i do my run, i hold 37lbs of weights in my hands. effectively my weight has stayed the same when doing a workout, and thus i get a similar burn. to be honest, i get a better burn because holding 37lbs in your hands is harder than having it stored around your body as fat. anyway, im not sure whether…
  • your weight goal is up to you. i tend to eat 50% of my workout calories. your body does need fuel to do those workouts, so there is a chance that your body feels the need to hog your fat stores. i can only suggest you calculate how much you're burning in workouts (machines can be way out with their calorie estimates, so be…
  • Seriously hot in this one!
  • i had a similar feeling a while back. i used to get to the top of the stairs and be seriously out of breath with my hands on my knees. now im not even remotely out of breath when i get up there. the change was so dramatic that, at first, i actually thought there might be something wrong!
