Cardio burns more calories and fat in a shorter amount of time. Weight lifting builds muscle which burns fat. It also speeds up your metabolism. A combination of both is optimal but to answer your question on which one is better for strictly weight loss.. cardio.

Increase cardio and or decrease calories. Play around with your macro ratio to determine how your body reacts. High protein, moderate carb and low fat usualy works best for a cut.

Google push, pull, legs routine. It's simple and works your entire body in 3 days and then you repeat. One day you do all exercises that incorporates a pushing movement (chest, tri's, some shoulders), next pulling (back, bi's, some shoulders) and then legs. Stick with compound movements.

I like to make quick plain oatmeal and then stir in sugar free jelly with added fiber. Then on top I add a natural peanut butter or this natural white chocolate peanut butter I found at the store. It's my favorite healthy breakfast.

Search 'Strength training' under the Cardiovascular category and just add in the # of minutes you worked out for. MFP will calculate the calories burned and your done. :bigsmile:

1 serving Kashi go lean cereal. Mix together 1/2 - 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 2 serving 100 % egg whites & 1 scoop whey protein. Poor into cereal. 1 serving instant plain oatmeal. Mix in sugar free jelly. Add 1 tbsp natural PB on top.

For me, the more protein the better. Since I train everyday, I adjusted my macro's to 40% carb, 40% protein, and 20% fat. I eat almost 1.5 x my weight in protein a day. Always drink a lot of water. :drinker:

So your 1 rep. max for overhead press is 100lbs.? Converting to dumbbells at 50% of your max to go 5 x 15... I'm going to say to start with 20-25lb dumbbells.
