I absolutely love this, have saved it to read again and again. Thanks! :flowerforyou:

Proud to have you as my friend already, Sky. :-D

Really like your posts on this thread. :flowerforyou:

I relate to your post so much, Cassie, it's so easy to let things slide a little bit and before you know it you've got used to being bigger than you were and it's then like steering a cruise ship to turn things around, by which time you're a little bit bigger again. Of course we want things to move quickly once we've made…

... and I'm absolutely certain you have no idea what I consider to be the snippy replies.

This. It DOES make a difference. Not everybody is the same notwithstanding that TDEE minus 20% is a starting line for weight loss. My husband can feel energised on cakes and other rubbish foods; I don't. He hurtles about after Chinese food; I mainline water and sleep. He feels hungry if he doesn't eat half a loaf of bread…

Oh don't mind me... I'm just one of the annoying Cookies that Joe's talking about... Mwaaah

I really like this post. I've read all of the others and some I agree with slightly but others make me want to weep with frustration. I really despair when I read posts like, "She's slim and pretty but has no personality"... because guess what? I know some very fat people with no personality too. Your weight doesn't define…

We say, "knickers in a twist"... I think the Americans say "panties in a bunch".... both are v.v.v funny.
-
Blushing so much now, Joe, as it was you I was thinking of when I referred to 'bonking'... :blushing: We Brits can be so uncouth - yet so insufferably delicate over things sometimes.. but yes, too funny. I will never see that word and not think of you, Joe, my American double-agent provocateur...

Dawn French is marvellous - and has the most amazing hair. I never noticed her weight, I was always fascinated with the sheet of straight shiny hair that swished this way and that, whenever she moved... where is the 'envious' emoticon when you need one? Anyway, talking of 'lost in translation' differences, I have some…

Absolutely! The words make me shudder and I can't help thinking that if you need to give yourself this er... 'title', that's probably not a great endorsement of yourself. I can't imagine why anybody thinks it's a compliment... :noway: OP... as a fellow Brit, you don't need to call yourself this horrid 'DILF' acronym, I…

"I'm a terrible driver"... :noway:

I'm on week 2; today is my fast day so will Thursday be. I've got a flatter stomach now than I've ever had. Great to think that the weightloss is only a side effect isn't it? The health benefits are HUGE. Add me if you like.

This post; this is what sums it up for me. Confidence and the right disposition can take you a long way... At the point where I stopped hating myself for being 'quite as fat' (and I'm still very obese), people started behaving towards me as I was behaving to myself, ie. happy in the direction I was going. It really is a…

I only trudged through page 1 of this thread but YES, OP, I agree with you. :flowerforyou: I think that breakfast isn't a useful meal and I don't eat it, not ever. I haven't since I was a child. I'm currently trying the 5:2 diet, modified to 4:3 and I'm seeing really good results already - namely a flatter stomach. I eat…

I was just thinking about this earlier... I'd like to do a fairly complicated time shift backwards then forwards for a bit then backwards for a year or two with a little tricky switcheroo to bring me back to now. I'd be married to somebody else and have kids...

I think it was too soon really. You only met last Friday night. I wouldn't have potential dates to my home until I knew them well. I'd date in public places for quite a while before I'd make intimate dinners at home for somebody. Nothing to do with your weight. Perhaps she got carried away in the first place and didn't…

I've obviously misunderstood this thread completely because I read the OP and laughed so much that I tipped half of my cup of tea down my bra... :blushing: But then I am a Brit - and I'm blonde... Thank you, OP, for making me laugh today... :smooched:
-
Ha... I just KNEW you were another Brit!

Goodness me, you're rude. With written skills like yours I would keep quiet. Ellipsis is THREE dots, not four and there would be a space when you've finished with them. You might also like to consider some capital letters and perhaps, an exclamation mark after the word, "Yikes". M'kay?

I love this, so very true. Sometimes, just sometimes, I can be a total man-magnet without trying - or even noticing. Other times, I can shrink into the wallpaper. The only thing that's different is my attitude to me, nothing whatsoever to do with my weight, just my perception of it and how I feel about myself.

You're an inspiration! Very well done, you look great and so happy. You should be so proud of yourself. :flowerforyou:

Marilyn's measurements were 37-23-36. For comparison, Kate Moss was 33-23-35

Hey Terspa.... :flowerforyou: I have the Polar F7, recommended by one of my other MFP friends, and it's great. I wear it whilst swimming. I'm not certain that the watch is waterproof (as it has a battery compartment that isn't sealed) but I clip it up in my hair with my MP3 player so it stays dry anyway. The chest strap is…

Now... surely THAT's counterproductive? :noway:

Why are you taking ephedrine? It's not legal here in the UK because of the dangerous side affects (death being one). Congestive relief medicines here have pseudo-ephedrine in them but it's very regulated and not recommended for anybody with asthma. I think you're crazy to self-medicate with such a dangerous drug. Just…

I'd refuse to make it about my weight or my weight loss. I'd take the 'ringleader' to one side (on their own) and ask them what their problem is with me. I'd address any work related comments, respond on those specific issues and then make it quite clear that if there are more comment in the workplace, I'd be taking it up…

Ohhhh.... Creed - definitely!!! I'm wearing 'Himalaya' at the moment, it's glorious - and pretty much unisex. I also love JPG 'Le Male' and conversely - Jasper Conran 'Woman'... I am a complete perfume FIEND and will spend any amount when I fall in love with a fragrance. Husband doesn't wear any - boyfriend does…

Love, love, love this post - I've copied and pasted it where I can refer to it often. Thank you! :flowerforyou:
