Look at you! You rock!! Very well done, you look amazing! Lucy :)

If it were me, I would go with the Mediterranean salad and add grilled chicken or grilled shrimp. Then you could splurge on a nice glass of wine or a bite or two of dessert :)

Beans, rice, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, steamed yams, tuna -- protein shakes for sure. Oatmeal for breakfast. TJ's has a couple of good low sodium soups. I would have her stay with things that have nutritional value if she can't eat much else. Apple sauce and ice cream might be okay for a little treat, but not so good…

If one of my friends ate really healthy, but were under calorie goal, I would still say good job for making good food choices. If they ate processed foods or fast food, or something else bad, I probably wouldn't comment, or would comment on something else instead, just because I wouldn't encourage unhealthy eating. I might…

Wow! Look at you! Awesome job! Lucy :)

I definitely don't eat first, especially if it's hot power yoga. It makes me sick. I tend not to be hungry when I'm working out, even after, although I do make a concerted effort to eat a little something within a half hour to hour after working out because I know I should. Lucy :)

I get this if I am really stressed or not sleeping well, or if I am deficient in my diet. I had it really bad when I had Adrenal Fatigue a few years ago. Calcium and Magnesium are helpful (I drink Peter Gilliam's Calm -- I purchase it at Whole Foods. You can likely get it at your local health food store, or online). Also…

Sounds really yummy! I love wrapping things in lettuce. I eat my turkey burgers this way, too! Best of luck and good health to you! Lucy :)

I am not telling anyone what they should or shouldn't drink either. I believe my post says "If you ARE going to drink diet soda...." To each their own. I just know that there are health risks and that it's not good for you, so I choose not to. If someone posts something like this they will get lots of different opinions.…

Actually my experience with this goes deeper than just 2nd hand information. These were the only references I had on hand. I have seen first hand the health problems caused by artificial sweeteners and diet sodas, and other processed crap, and the improvement made when cutting them out, working with many patients over some…

I used to drink Diet Coke/Diet Pepsi for breakfast before I learned how bad it is for you. That was about 10 years ago, and I haven't had it since. I drink fizzy water, usually Crystal Geyser with orange, lime or lemon essence. Or Club Soda with a squeeze of fresh orange. You can also buy Steevia flavored drops that you…

Brag away! That's a great accomplishment! Yay!! Lucy :)

That sounds great! I have worked the last 7 Thanksgivings and I think I will have this one off! Yay. May participate in the Run to Feed the Hungry (5K). I'm not into the big Thanksgiving feast either, way too much food and I don't eat most of what is served anyway. Typically we will go to my family's house for dinner after…

Hi! Welcome!! I'm in Sacramento, too! And we're close to the same age. Add me as a friend if you would like!! Lucy :) p.s. Do you practice yoga?

My heart goes out to you for your losses. You are amazing, and so strong and you are doing a really great job! Keep it up, only good can come from it! Lucy :)

The only thing about it for me is that I was a Vegetarian for many years, and I have recently started eating a little bit of ground turkey and chicken, as well as fish and eggs (I felt it was best for my health, a difficult and emotional decision and one I am doing a test trial on, anyway...), the book says I should be a…

Wow! You look amazing! Your hard work has definitely paid off! Lucy :)

I used to do Cross Fit, and we used Kettle Bells. Here is a link to some Cross Fit Kettle Bell workouts. I haven't actually viewed any of these videos, but I'm sure they will give you some ideas. Good luck! Lucy :) http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?p=cross+fit+kettlebell+workouts

Awesome progress! Looking good!! Keep up the great work! Lucy :)

You looked great to begin with...but you definitely look amazing now! Great job....Woo! Lucy :)

I think so. There is a book called Eat Right for Your Blood Type. Some people agree with it and some don't. To each their own, but lots of it makes sense to me. For example, I am O Positive, and it says these people are more prone to thyroid issues (which I have) and do not process carbs well (which I believe I don't). I…

If you have been diligent with your eating and tracking, then I agree with water retention. Muscle weighs the same as fat, you look better but will weigh the same. http://www.everydayhealth.com/weight/busting-the-muscle-weighs-more-than-fat-myth.aspx Lucy :) p.s. the same thing has happened to me in the past week, I can…

I LOVE spaghetti squash. I cut the squash in half, scrape seeds out and bake at 450 for 45 minutes (may be up to an hour for a really large one). I use TJ's basic marinara sauce (no sugar, just tomatoes, paste and salt). I add fresh basil, and chopped up sweet yellow onion, zucchini, yellow squash, white mushrooms, crimini…

Yes, but not during. Before only. I can gain 2-3 lbs, and then I go back to normal the day it starts or the day after that. Lucy :)

Jilian Michaels for sure! I have all of her DVDs. She's awesome! Lucy :)

I wear a little foundation and powder, maybe a speck of blusher when I don't work and that's it. No mascara, or lips, or anything else. Mostly because I am sweating a lot, working out. on those days and then I am not going to bother putting it on for the evening. I don't even straighten my hair, I just let it go wavy. My…
