I share my birthday with my grandma and my husband has the same birthday as my grandpa.

I am in for 210 this month.
-
Close to goal at 214. Pretty happy with that considering travel and a head cold dropped my mileage for a couple of weeks. Happy Halloween! Enjoy some post run candy today!

Don't let this get you down. I have been working out for the last two years and there are still things in some classes I can't do. Just modify and do what is right for your level and body. As mentioned above feel free to ask the instructor for an alternative.

I finally broke 200 last month (204 miles) so why not try for 225 this month. I am still building up for Dec marathon. Happy running all.

Hi All! I am in for 197 this month. I was going to set it at 200 but every time I do I don't make it. I am ramping up for a Dec marathon and will do my first 20 mile run in a long time this month.

All the different running speeds are still listed but you have to browse all in app (pull down on pc) scroll down to running to find them. For some reason search function doesn't work. Hope this helps.

I am back in for August with a 150 mile goal. I was nursing a hip flexor strain in June and didn't want a mileage goal in July.

Long runs for me are often mental tricks to keep at it. I mostly do out and backs for long runs. I also break it in half in my head. So at 4 miles out I think ok I am at the 8 mile mark. Music helps some days. After a while the distance will not seem too long just keep at.
-
Well I didn't make it to 200 last month as planned :grumble: . Too much mental laziness plus travel and a race. I will try for 175 miles in May. Have a good month everyone.

You could try bananas or other high potassium food. I think it helps me. I used to get them when I was younger and dieting/running a lot. I haven't had any for a long time and am putting in more miles but eat bananas like crazy.

They are really tasty and I think healthy enough but too expensive for me. I only have them when a get a free coupon through work.
-
I am going to try for my first 200 mile month.
-
I doubt you will be last. Usually most 5K races have a lot of walkers. You could try to find last years results if you want to compare paces. Just have fun. It looks like a great trail run. I wish I could run it too.

Hi All I am back in for 150 miles this month. Took a bit of a break in Feb (132miles) and wanted to run without feeling quite as rigid with my training. Happy running.

You are doing well. Don't get discouraged. Your weight loss and exercise is definitely improving your health and slowing the progression of your diabetes despite similar/higher A1C levels. A lot of how much control you can get with just diet and exercise is genetics. My husband was diagnosed with diabetes in his early…

Smart coach on runnersworld is good and free. You put in your recent race time, weekly mileage and race date and choose how hard you want to train. Hal Higdon programs are good too.

Hi All! I have run 128 miles so far this month with a goal of at least 150 miles. I just ran the Houston half marathon and had a PR time of 1:56:49. I am happy since my last half in Mar 13 was 2:25 and my previous PR was 2:20. Hope everyone is having a good month too.
-
Thank you! You just made me realize my planned run at dawn in 28 degree temps is down right balmy. I guess I have been in H-town too long...I am starting to forget what REAL winter feels like:laugh:
-
In for 150 this month thanks:smile:
-
I am almost to 150 only 1.5 miles to go. I ran the local 5 mile Turkey day race in PR time of 42:45 down from last year's time of 58:05:happy:. Surprisingly for once I also found one race photo I liked too. Happy running everyone.
-
I second this. I run and am similar in size and these are the only cheap sports bras that work for me.
-
In for another 150 miles. I started the month off with a 25k trail run 11-2. My first 25k so auto PR at 2:49. Had a blast and managed not to fall. I will definitely be looking for some more trail runs to do:smile:.

Hell Yes I am having Halloween candy and maybe some beer but shhhhh don't tell. :drinker:

Outside almost all the time. I have run in hot humid Texas summer weather and snow in Indiana. Mentally can't take the dreadmill more than 3 miles. Usually will cross train or take a rest day if it is extremely bad out.
-
Happy Halloween!! Total for month 155 miles. 30 miles past my original goal and 5 past my revised goal. Resting tomorrow for Rocky raccoon 25K trail run Saturday.
-
This is similar to what I do. If you can keep it under control at night it works great. I like to feel full once a day instead of starved all day. Try it for a week or so. If it works great. If not keep trying things out. You will find the right strategy before long.

You realize you misused to in this post:laugh:

I am in for another 125 miles.
