  • Count me in! I lost about 18 in the first week with both my kids, then gained back about 5 when my milk established. I hold fiercely on to my last 10 pounds until weaning, then it falls off. It's sort of annoying. I try so hard to lose that last 10, then baby turns 1 and presto change-o, the last 10 is gone!

  • This might not be an approved variation of the pushup.... But it worked for me! When I started the 30 day shred I couldn't even complete a pushup from my knees.... So I dropped to my pelvis. After about a week of doing pushups with my entire lower body on the floor I was able to start doing them from my knees.

  • This describes me perfectly! I only eat breakfast if I'm hungry. Eating when I am not hungry always starts my day off towards disaster. Unless Im hungry I do not eat until I'm ready for lunch. Its nice to hear these responses that people are giving!

  • Oatmeal is fantastic. I do 1/2 cup of quick oatmeal on the stove with nearly 2 cups of water. Let simmer about 5 or 6 minutes. Yes, that's about twice the water it calls for, but the oats will absorb it. Very filling, especially if you add 1/2 cup of blueberries.

  • I always heard, and it's true for me, that each dress size is roughly 10 pounds. If you want to be a size 12 and are currently a 20 you need to lose roughly 40lbs. It's just a rule of thumb, it might be a little more or less depending on how your body sheds weight. Hope this helps!

  • I tend to weigh at night and know I would weigh roughly 3lbs less the next morning. I am an emotional weigher! My eating during the day is better if I don't know the weight. Either I say 'yay I lost a pound and can cheat' or I say 'ugh I gained weight and might as well give up' therefore for me, night weighing works best.
  • Will you be sleeping at all when you get home from 3rd shift? I used to work 12 hour nights so I would just count my calories per 24 hours. I would sleep a good 4 or 5 hours when I got home so my day time eating decreased since I was using that time to sleep. Honestly though I rarely ate on night shift. For some reason I…

  • Wow what a difference! I'm on day three and I hope to stay with it. I'm sooo sore. Is that why you skipped days? Today I felt was my weakest workout. My calves and pecs are sooo sore. Jumping jacks were painful today and I cheated a little with jogging in place.... Don't tell Jillian lol
