This. Start adding strength training. You can do this with cardio if you follow a HIIT workout. Jillian Michaels DVD's are the best! Seriously, even after reaching my goal and maintaining it for 8 months, I revisited her 30 Day Shred and dropped 1.65 kgs in the first 10 days! If you can't afford DVD's there's also stuff…

I love this thread! Everyone looks amazing and are awesome! I have lost my weight but just cannot seem to get that toned tummy. I will keep trying, but hopefully I'll be posting some amazing abs in the not too distant future.

Hi, Love this thread! I'm 5ft 4", 32 years old and 118 pounds. I reached my goal weight 9 months ago and have been able to maintain this weight consistently. I workout 5 - 6 times a week doing HIIT training for around 40 - 50 mins a time (various workout DVD's). About a month ago I started to increase my calories slightly.…

Hi. I have completed this workout and though I didn't lose any weight (I started when I had already reached my goal weight), I noticed a major improvement in my tone - especially in my shoulders. I really wouldn't panic. I have done most of her workouts at least once right though and I remember doing 30DS & Ri30 and…

Hi. I really understand this. I know it sounds weird. I have been working out 5 - 6 days a week for over a year now, and I LOVE it! Seriously love it. If I miss (like go on holiday), I feel blue. That being said, around August I decided to do Insanity. I really didn't enjoy it, but once I start something I have to finish.…

Wow! Can I have your abs? You look amazing and have done an incredible job! Congratulations! :flowerforyou:

I cannot recommend 30DS or any of Jillian Michaels other DVD's enough! It's not even 30 mins a day and you will be amazed at the results you get from doing her workouts. I have never had such good results and I couldn't justify not doing just 30 mins a day. Good luck!

You look so amazing! Well done!

Thank you for the reply! :flowerforyou: I am still nervous, but am trying the increase, and am in my 3rd week of eating around 1300 - 1500 and have actually lost a little bit of weight and cm's finally. Will see if that loss carries through to another week though, as I am skeptical.

Hi. I really, really struggled to lose my baby weight. After 8 months of trying with no loss, I bought the 30 Day Shred and made sure I tracked every single thing I ate, and the weight started coming off. 2 Months of 30DS and I'd lost 43 cm. It was the best thing I could have ever done. It's max 30 mins a day and really,…

You look fantastic! Well done!

Thanks for posting this comment. I know that everyone recommends upping your cals once you start plateauing, but I struggle to reconcile this in my mind. I have maintained my weight for 8 months now. Just short of the last kg I would like to lose to reach my ultimate goal weight. But generally I am very happy. Many people…

Thank you for sharing and well done on all your amazing achievements!

Fantastic! Well done!

273 Calorie for an hour of dancing does not seem high at all! Dancing is serious exercise. I have been doing Insanity for the past 2.5 months and there, the workouts range from 40 - 65 mins and I burn an average of 350 - 610 calories. I know that it's intense cardio, but dancing is not easy either. Even when doing the 30…

Me! He he. I'm originally from Durbs, but live in Jozi now. I have two other South African friends on here and now you

What an amazing, inspirational story! You look incredible and I can only imagine how difficult it has been when you suffer a loss. What I love is how beautifully toned you are, your arms look so sculpted and your tummy super flat. Would love to hear what else you do aside from running to get such great tone. Well done!

What is with the Max Plyo Circuit???? Seriously!!!!!! I don't know why, but I just can't seem to get through it. Sigh. Please can week 2 be easier....:ohwell:

You look incredible!!!! Well done! :flowerforyou:

I can't offer too much reassurance either. I BF my LO until 1 year (when she self-weaned). I couldn't drop a single pound. I was horribly depressed about my weight. I dropped the initial 8 kgs quickly and then the second 8 just stuck. In fact I gained 2 more! I can't say that the weight just dropped off either. I had to…

AMAZING and incredible and so inspirational! You look gorgeous and fit and sound so happy. A fabulous success story :flowerforyou:

To me, the whole point of MFP and logging is to make sure you record everything and hold yourself accountable. It's those little things that add up and cause the weight gain in the first place. You'll never really get there if you aren't 100% honest with yourself.

Definitely could be right! I've seen most men burning around that amount with their Insanity workouts. Enjoy the new monitor! It will change your life. I love mine

Thanks! I'm really happy to hear that! It's not easy, and I generally need some results to keep myself motivated to keep pushing through those workouts. I'm hoping month 2 is my month! Thanks again for sharing your amazing results. You really do look incredible and are very inspiring :flowerforyou:

Thanks for the tips! You are extremely motivating! I haven't been eating all my exercise cals back (about half) and many people have commented saying I should be eating more, but I'm not comfortable with that. I will definitely look into a protein shake though. I haven't had one in ages, but it may be just what I need for…

I'm a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs and I eat a lot of carbs. I try and make sure they're good carbs, but they make up a big part of my diet (60% carbs). I've managed to reach my goal weight, so I wouldn't stress too much. I think it may be a quicker way to lose weight, but I'm here for sustainable weight loss and I get…

Well done! You look amazing. What incredible progress!

I did 2 rounds of 30DS before I did Ri30. L1 of Ripped is easy in comparison, but she steps it up a lot from L2 and L3 is pretty tough. It is a bit tougher than 30DS, but I prefer the Shred ultimately (my results). I did 2 rounds of Ripped back to back as well. They are both excellent!
