  • Just an opinion, but any time you are willing to post an opinion you should be willing to accept criticism. If the criticism gets personal, just remember, you can't control what other people say but you can control how you let what they said affects you.
  • I just bought some cheap (like under $10 kind of cheap) over-the-ear headphones at WalMart and they work great. The ones in the link below are very similiar to mine: http://www.walmart.com/ip/JVC-Ear-Clip-Headphone-for-Light-Sports-Blue/14562416
  • I totally relate with your story. I was always the tall one and fairly plain. I look a lot different than I used to, but I'm still the "plain" one of my friends, meaning not the skinniest, not the heaviest, not the one with best skin, hair, etc. I'm just average and I finally decided a few years ago that I'm ok with that…
  • They never have the fat free kind, only low fat, in my local store. One option I've been experimenting with is the neufchatel cheese. If you look at the low fat and neufchatel cheese labels, the neufchatel usually wins in most categories. They both taste the same to me as well. Good like finding the fat free cream cheese…
  • Congrats on running your first 5K. I actually dislike running as an exercise, however I do run 5K's around my area. They are long enough to make you strive to finish (3.1 mi) and they are short enough that they don't torture running-challenged individuals like myself. I don't do anything special to train-just my normal…
  • Do IT work for 8 specialty-specific clincs. I'm usually on the run...except for days like this when it's less than 20 degrees (all my clinics are in a different building) ha ha :)
  • How are all my Nebraska people loving the windchill today?????
  • You are both the closest I've found to my stats so far SW: 170 CW: 165 GW: 150 Height: 5'8 1/2 Age: 25 Girl
  • I am just over 5'8" and cw is 165. I would like to hit and maintain 150. Ideally I'd like to maintain 145, however I don't have a particularly small frame. I have a fairly muscular build and it is difficult for me to maintain that weight.
  • I have to have upbeat tunes. I've found that my feet keep going when the tunes are fast and upbeat. If a slow song comes on, I start to notice the distance I've gone or what muscles are starting to get tired....
  • These are what I wear as well. The lace really doesn't go anywhere and the thong part is wide enough that it doesn't travel to kingdom come while you are running!
  • I've done some of the interval workouts on treadmill and eliptical both and I agree. It wears me out. About an hour after I leave the gym tho, I don't feel like I've accomplished much. That could just be my body trying to get used to the shorter workout time I suppose. I just wanted to make sure that I'm getting the most…
  • Agreed. This is what I have to do as well. It's a major guilt trip if I don't go...
  • Hey you never know when the zombies will come ha ha jk  I used to go to the gym for close to an hour and a half, but that was before responsibilities invaded my life. Just trying to make the most of it cuz I really don't feel like it's doing much for me....
  • I love my asics for running as well. And they didn't take as long to break in as some of my other shoes have.

  • Have you tried a lower impact cardio exercise such as eliptical, stairs, or stationary bike? That's what try to do more of currently.
  • I have the series however I use it to supplement my regular workout.
  • I am so happy that the holidays are past. I work for a bunch of physicians and it seems like they expect Santa to just magically drop down and deliver everything they've wanted all year via me......Sigh....made for a long long month...but this is a new year-hopefully the princes and princesses have put their crowns away…
  • That would be a great idea to get more middle and low income families up and moving. I have a good job and make a decent wage but cannot afford a gym membership let alone afford a trainer. That kind of incentive would do really well around my community.
  • I did the same thing except pieces of the chocolate chips stuck to my post and I couldn't figure out how to get them off without hurting my tongue :)
  • Been to several great concerts over the last few years. Saturday (pending road conditions) I'm taking my best friend to Five Finger Death Punch's Share the Welt Tour for her Christmas present. :)
  • Sorry it took me so long to get back-I don't get any notifications for group messages :) Yes it was very cold. High was maybe 35 here. Wind seemed brutal, but maybe that's becuase we don't want winter to come ha ha. Supposed to be a little nicer this weekend though! Happy Thansgiving!
  • When my husband proposed, it was a surprise and it was totally low key. Perfect for my personality. One night we were sitting on the couch in our comfy clothes and he looked at me and asked me if I would marry him. At first I thought he was joking because it was so casual, but he was serious :) He didn't even have a ring…
  • Hello everybody-glad I finally have some Husker fans to hang with on here!!! My name is Lori and I've lived all over the central part of the state. Was born in Lexington, grew up in Arnold, and now am living in North Platte.
  • There could also be life factors included in your recent symptoms. When I am super stressed, my stomach revolts against me....So questions to ask yourself and address if necessary: 1. Are you under a lot of stress (either at home or work)? 2. Have you recently had a major environmental change? 3. How are you sleeping? Is…
  • I just eat when I am hungry, or when I have time to eat. With my job it's hard to have regular meal/snacks. I sometime eat some of my calories burned back later in the day, but usually I don't eat enough calories to have it make much of a difference. The only time I really get close is if I go out to dinner or drink a few…
  • Make breakfast burritos sometime and freeze them. Then just pull one out of the freezer and nuke it while you get ready.
  • I am 5'9 and currently weigh around 162. For my frame (and knowing what I used to look like), I would like to get to a goal weight of 145-150. I look ok now, it's just not toned. I have a thinner frame, but a muscular build if that makes any sense....
  • And as nerdy as this sounds, wasp spray works similiar to Mace, however it is designed to spray farther. It's not fatal to humans but will stop someone in their tracks. I try to always have a small bottle around.
