You may just not be drinking enough fluids. That can cause cramping. Or it can be a deeper issue such as not enough potassium, calcium, or carbs. I had the same problem so I did a ton of research on it. I drink a lot of water before and after my run, which seems to help.

There's not necessarily a time limit. I go to a very small gym so those are the only machines they have, other than the treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals. My gym has machines in a circle for circuit training. You do one machine for one minute then switch. I HATE it when people choose the machine directly next to mine. Sometimes I like to spend an extra minute on a certain machine and I can't when you're right behind me, waiting for that machine. So frustrating!

I actually researched this before, and (supposedly) the reason you feel more hungry is because your body needs the extra nutrients. When I'm about to have TOM, I eat and I'm literally hungry an hour later. I don't deprive myself. I eat when I'm hungry, I just try to choose healthier foods like fruit.

This story touched me ALOT since I have a 4 year old autistic brother (who HATES to get his haircut and probably would have reacted the same way). And that poor mom.. It wasnt her fault. I hope that place goes out of business because that's so inappropriate!

Have you tried taking Melatonin? It works pretty well! I would recommend it. (Havent read any of the other comments, so sorry if someone else has already suggested this!!)

As long as they're not TOO short, you should be fine! I doubt anyone will even notice! I understand where you're coming from though, I have a bit of cellulite and I feel really insecure in shorts. I still wear them though! Its too damn hot in the Summer to be hiding in pants or capris.
