  • Missed my goal by 97 calories. Although I'm sure the calories I didn't count (shopping, house work, and playing) would account for the 97 cal. • My husband and I use Myogenix After Shock Tactical Post-Workout it helps with the soreness; greatly decreases next day soreness for me (just my opinion). We got it from Vitamin Shoppe (on another thread I incorrectly said we bought it from GNC).

  • My husband and I use Myogenix After Shock (sold at GNC) after our workout. We use a blender to mix it because sometimes you get chucks in the bottom if you just use a shaker. It contains 34g of protein per serving. We usually only take 1/2 a serving. It has helped alleviate a lot of the soreness that occurs the day after a…
  • I am anemic and I take iron pills. You should be feeling more energetic in about two weeks. The iron pills really help a lot.
  • I have knee problems too. If you are doing jumping movements make sure you land softly on your toes, not your heals. Also it is best to do jumping moves on a padded/mat surface, to help decrease the shock to the joints. Don't push yourself too hard because your body is telling you something if you are in a great deal of…
  • I agree with some of the other post. Vitamins, protein (you can use a post-work shake also), and eat at minimum 1200 a day. You may also want to make a doctor's appointment to have your iron checked. If the iron in your blood is low, that would cause you to become tired more quickly than when your iron is at a normal level.
  • Let's start Monday off right! I had a great last minute workout with my 8 year old daughter, she is awesome. Goal: 360 min, 3500 Calorie Burn Mon: 113 min718calTurbo Fire 45, HIIT 15, & Walking Tue: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Left to go: 247min2782cal

  • Great story thanks for sharing. I know how you feel. Sometimes you get stuck on the body parts you still want to change. Thank God for wonderful husbands like yours and mine.
  • Me too. I have been waiting for months to see this movie. I always watch the new movie trailers months ahead of time because my husband went to film school so we always looking to see what is coming out.
  • I agree with all the comments about low weight high reps is best for building lean muscles. Also, muscles helps burn fat so it is a good idea to start strength training. You won't get bulky from it because women don't have enough testerone in their body for that. I'm a beachbody fan, so if you are looking for an at home…
  • Suggestions since you mentioned you need your calicum: Greek Yogurt Oatmeal (you can put milk in it) Smoothie - I usuall use 1/2 banana, 1-2 frozen strawberries, 1TBLS natural peanut butter (weird but I love it), and Soy milk or regular milk Protien Shake (meal replacement type) Cup of milk and an egg white omelet
  • Sounds good. I will have to try that. Thanks for the post.
  • P90X allows you to work at your on pace and shows you how to modify the moves to reduce the strain on your body. The trainer (Tony Horton) also tells you to take short breaks (15 -30 sec) between moves if you need to. Start it and listen to your body . . . if it is too much than stop and switch to a different program. I do…
  • I am shocked that P90X, Turbo Fire, Insanity, and some other Beach Body workouts were not inclueded on that list. What was the basis of the study? Did it look at both retail and on line sales? Just wondering.
  • Height 5'3" CW 153.8 GW 125 Base Calories 1300 Exercise Burn 300 - 600 Most days I don't eat all of my exercise calories back, primarily because I am usually satisfied by time I reach about 1500 calories.
  • Welcome. Everyone here on MFP is very helpful and supportive. You can also down load MFP to your droid if you don't already have it. Good luck with your journey.
  • 1lb of muscle does not weigh more than 1lb of fat. 1lb fat = 1lb muscle. Muscle takes up less space than fat; because fat is lumpy and dense. There are several threads that disspell the myth about this. Back to the original question: I agree with several of the other post . . . you need to eat to fuel your body. At minimum…
