I just finished day 5 and already noticing my face looks thinner and my shoulders look more "fit". Hope to see it everywhere lol! And the pain is finally getting bearable... first 2 days I thought I would die.
-
Not sure how far you are but I just finished day 5 last night and today I'm just sore. Not "I'm dying I'll ever walk again" sore which is how I felt the first 3 days... lol In my limited experience I would just say yes it gets better.

me too...

welcome back - I've started over about 12 times.

That is all.

Take her to a playground... you'd be amazed the workout you can get just running around w/ her OR trying an actual workout - here's one example. http://www.parents.com/baby/health/lose-baby-weight/full-body-playground-workout/ naptime. Set the example. My kids are now 5 and 7 so a little more self sufficient but at that…

I live in Seattle so it's kind of not optional... :) but you'll definitely get used to it and sometimes even enjoy it!
-
kinda what I was thinking....
-
how soon BEFORE you work out are you eating? I had the same problem and I feel much better if I have a snack like a Luna bar or something similar 30 minutes or so before I work out.
-
well I did day 1 and now I need a new babysitter because my stepdaughter wants to start running w/ me! Heh I'm a trendsetter. Guess hubby will have to take over kid duties while we're out getting skinny!
-
I work out mostly so I can eat more. My 1 lb a week goal has me at 1200 calories (the 500 cal deficit is built in) Without the exercise calories I would be so hungry and probably cranky I can only imagine my husband would sit on me and force feed me cookies. :noway:

I'm in! I did C25K last year and loved it.... then I got a new job, kids went back to school, etc etc etc and just stopped making time. I've been doing a lot of yoga lately but want to be a runner again! As soon as my step-daughter AKA babysitter shows up I'm off! W1D1 here I come! Oh how I've missed you, running shoes....

this happens to me whenever I'm not drinking enough water... took me a while to figure that out though :blushing:

80 calorie dannon light and fit vanilla yogurt with a handful of chocolate chips... yummmmm......
-
If only I'd seen this an hour ago.... :blushing:
-
before I found MFP I used to work out like mad and never lost any weight. Because.... I thought working out an hour a day 5 days a week gave me license to eat whatever/whenever I wanted. Not true! Weight loss is really simple math - you have to burn more calories than you take in.
-
when your snarky co-worker says "how skinny are you trying to get anyway?" Heh.... jealous of my fabulousness. :smokin:
-
the intensity of my workout seems to be directly related to how much extra I want to eat. :) So, yeah, I eat all my exercise calories!

Yoga Fusion and Yoga Zone on hulu.com are free... ranging from 20 min to an hour each episode

digital food scale changed my life.... biggest loser scale from Bed Bath and Beyond was less than $20. I don't know how I ever lived without it!
-
I had a friend that did it, she was a total freak show the first few weeks (and can I just say NOT fun to be around?). She did lose a lot but was more than miserable. Now that she's coming off it she's having a heck of a time adjusting back to a "normal" diet and is slowly but surely putting back on the weight... It's…

Burlington Coat Factory, Marshall's, Kohl's (when they have good sales). I have also found a local dry cleaner that does awesome alterations. It's well worth it if you've got really nice stuff that just needs to be taken in a couple of sizes. I also love thrift stores. :)
-
I wouldn't even look at a scale until you're at least 30 days in if not the whole 90. Your body is probably freaking out wondering what in the hell you're doing to it! Don't give up! You will see results!
-
eat your exercise calories. You'll find many many many successful people on MFP swear by it. You'll get there!

I really like the Flat Belly Diet book. I'm not a big fan of "diets" or even planning, for that matter lol which probably explains why it's taken me so long to lose 20 pounds. Anyway, the book has great recipes and a real common sense approach, for me, to this whole food thing. 400 calories 4 times a day. I am rarely…

now if we can only find a substitute for a chocolate covered cream filled donut! :)

Unless you plan on taking the supplements for the REST OF YOUR LIFE, how can you maintain your loss? If you lose weight eating well and exercising, and continue to eat well and exercise, then you will stay healthy (and at a healthy weight). Otherwise...

That is awesome! Probably cheaper too. I bought a single banana last week and it was like 27 cents. Crazy!

I started enjoying exercise when I stopped exercising for weightloss' sake and started doing it for health's sake. Even though I'd lost a few pounds through counting calories I just wasn't healthy. I couldn't keep up with my kids on the playground or even walk my dog w/out getting worn out. I started running and pilates,…

I love this idea Jenn!!!
