  • I walk just about 5 days a week, sometimes less, but normally 5. I do about 5 miles those days...but I started out only being able to walk about a mile. I have RA and anything high impact is a no no for me. Using weights is hard too as my joints are not strong. I've lost 47 pounds since January. Oh and the walks are great…
  • I've lost 47 pounds and gone down 1 band size. I was a 40D but now wear a 38DD. I thought that was odd, because they didn't get any bigger but my cup size was bigger  I asked the woman that does the measuring and she said unless your breasts themselves actually shrink, if you go down a band size you go up a cup size.…
  • Another Whovian here!!! I love to crochet...and I am HOPING to get someone to teach me to quilt sometime soon. I currently live in the UK, but hubby and I are in the process of applying for his spousal visa to go back to the US. Feel free to add me!!!
  • I wish I could help...I'm in the same boat at the moment. But, I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing, and I know eventually its going to come off.
  • Franks red hot is my every day hot sauce that I love on just about everything...I even use it as a salad dressing. BUT, I have fallen in love with Encona original hot pepper sauce. Its made with scotch bonnet and habaneros. I think its only sold here in the UK as I never saw it in the US while we were there.

  • I don't eat them all back. I like to leave a little buffer because I don't always trust my Runtastic app or MFP calculations (or mine sometimes either). I do try to eat most of them back though.
  • You'll get differing opinions from people, but honestly, there are many of us STILL eating bread and STILL losing weight. Just make sure you keep within your calorie goals and you'll be fine.
  • I walk every day...ok well almost every day :) I try to walk around 4-5 miles but it all depends on the weather. I have a treadmill, but I get so bored on it, so I will only use it if I absolutely have to. Eating within my calorie goals and walking seems to be working so far!
  • That's me right now. Not sure why...peanut butter sandwiches on soft white bread.
  • I'm a terrible sleepy head! Of course I have RA & Fibromyalgia which make me super tired anyways. I try to stay up until 9 but some days I fall asleep even earlier. I exercise 5 days a week and get up anywhere from 4:30 (when hubby is on an early shift) to 7 on the weekends. When my children were younger, I was usually up…
  • You look amazing! I also won't give up my "bad" food. I LOVE me some ice cream!
  • LOL...this reminds me of my family. Growing up, we would spend hours cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and within 20 minutes we would all be stuffed! I honestly think we used shovels instead of forks! I still have that bad habit. Hubby will ask me if I even tasted my food. I try very hard to slow myself down now. Dinner/tea…
  • Definitely! I have rheumatoid arthritis so I'm very limited with exercise. I would love to be able to run, but my knees and ankles just aren't strong enough. So I walk...and I try to walk every day. I love it, put my headphones on and I'm off. Walking combined with eating at a calorie deficit and I have lost a total of 43…
  • I USUALLY eat most of mine back. My lifestyle is set at sedentary, so I do try to eat them back. BUT, I don't always trust all the calculations made by Runtastic (fitness app) and MFP, and I don't always trust my measuring of food, so I don't eat back ALL my extra calories. I try to leave a buffer of about 200 calories…
  • Yep that's me. I don't do it on purpose though, my mind is just always on overdrive so it tends to wander away and I completely tune out. And the whole name thing...good lord, I'm terrible! Sometimes I wonder how I even remember my own!
  • My mother is the feeder...but at this point she is 3500+ miles away so no temptation there. I think I take after her as well, showing love by cooking for and feeding my husband and my children. I'm trying to break myself of making happy memories with food...its a hard one though.

  • I'm definitely not losing it as fast now, but I'm not worried  I eat foods I love, I exercise 5+ days a week, and I'm still losing and feeling good about myself.
  • People bump it either to keep it up towards the top of the posts or....a way to find it later because when you post in a topic it stays up in your topics....easier to find that way.
  • ^^ This. I like most things, and I'll try anything once. Hubby loves it, to me, it was just BLECH! But at least I can say I tried it.
  • Usually oatmeal/porridge because I love the stuff and its easy to make. I do love breakfast foods though so once a week (Thursday) we have breakfast for our evening meal. So last night was 4 rashers of bacon, 3 eggs, three slices of toast, and some baked beans....and I make sure it fits in my calories so I NEVER feel…
  • Why do you care?? Honestly people crack me up. Mine is open to my friends...and even then...its nobody's business but mine. I'm accountable to no one but me
  • Wow, I would kill to have a body like yours! Funny thing is, I did when I was your age...5'7" and I was 132 pounds. I too thought I was fat. Now looking back at pictures and such from then, I think to myself, damn I looked good! Could I have done some toning to look better...hell yes, but I was definitely NOT FAT...and…
  • LMAO, me too! A 1982 (mind you I didn't get my licence until 1994) blue one. I did however LOVE that car. As did my ex and my dad who could work on it without an issue.
  • Really??? Glad you've thought it easy....for most of us, its not though!
  • Well, I'm still fat...but I'm getting there! So when I see a fat person, I wonder if maybe they have other issues in their lives. See, I have RA and I have days when the pain is HORRIBLE..it makes moving near impossible. I move when I can. I don't live anyone else's life, and I don't know what's going on in their life...so…
  • LOL...probably water weight! I went away on holiday last week and couldn't log as I had no internet access. I behaved as much as I could while still enjoying myself. I came home and got on the scale not knowing what to expect. 7 pounds....:noway: I knew there was NO WAY I had put that on. So back on to MFP and…
  • I had this problem! We'd go to the pub and if I didn't grab a packet of crisps while there, I'd come home and eat something here and it usually wasn't healthy!
  • I gave it (and all alcohol) for Lent back in the winter. I have since returned to drinking it and have not put on any weight. I don't drink as much as I used to though and between drinks, I always have a glass of water so I tend to drink A LOT less.
  • Yes Yes Yes Yes!
