I agree with everyone else.. Just slow down. I started C25k multiple times and got bored with the program BUT, I regularly run 5ks as a daily workout... And like everyone else here, when I first started the 60 sec runs and 90 sec runs seemed like FOREVER.. but now, I don't even get warmed up and fall into a routine until…

I end up running in the gym on a treadmill. I have a hard time breathing in the cold - it burns my chest! LOL

I agree with everyone else.. Slow down and add intervals.. And for me, I have to get through the first MILE before I fall into any kind of comfortable rhythm. When I first started I was jogging around 4.5 or 4.6 on the treadmill now I am jogging around 6.0. As you jog more, you will increase your speed... You can do it!

Love the Arc Trainer - and yes it does burn a lot of calories. It's a great cardio workout

Polar FT4.. It's decent. Only meant to use during workouts. Chest strap is comfortable, you forget about it as soon as you put it on.

Love this! Can't wait to try it!

I've had it since about Jan/Feb and I haven't had any issues. At first, I thought it was my Mirena that stalled my weight loss, but I realized now that it was just me being stalled in my routine (and I wasn't getting much sleep having a new baby around). Now that I am eating better (Weigh my food now), sleeping more, and…

Bump, so I can come back to this later

Hi Blonde71 - what is the kettlebell routine you are following? I'm really interested in using them but have not found a good routine yet?

Bump - I want to meet some more VA friends.. Maybe I'll recoginize someone at a race or something! :)

If you just need a single jogging stroller, I have a JEEP jogging stroller and it's great. Very Smooth ride, it has a little car steering wheel in the front which keeps the babies/toddlers somewhat entertained, and of course cup holders, under basket, etc. Now if anyone had recommendations for a DOUBLE JOGGER that's what I…

Hi I'm Amber! *I feel like this is like Weekend Eaters Anonymous*... Anyways, I have known from the beginning of this journey the weekend would be the worst time for me. I try and cook ALL of our meals in the house Sun - Thurs, so by Friday hubby and I are ready to go hog wild. We usually eat pizza EVERY Friday, and at…
-
I agree with you - I have been saying again and again the weekend are the death of me. And now that we are trying to add more and more to our weekend schedule - I feel like my only option when running around is fast food.. If you figure something out - let me know! LOL

My ULTIMATE goal was to finally be able to wear a bikini. I NEVER have been able to in life, but now that I have had 2 babies, and have a tummy full of stretch marks - not sure if that will ever be attainable. BUT, I would love to fit into ANYTHING I want to wear and feel comfortable and not feel like I need to hide this…

I fell off this challenge, but I'm back on it... 24 will be done tonight.. In sets breaking it up.. OH GOSH!

Oh I'm so glad I read this. Thank you ladies! I am actually getting mine inserted today - and I was really worried about the pain to get inserted (but maybe I shouldn't since I have had 2 babies vaginally! LOL).. and the side effects and such. You all have quieted my nerves. :) Yay for Mirena

I'll add to all the bumps so I have this for later.. :) Who doesn't love Peanut Butter and Choc together!?!?

So, although I would LOVE to run this, I am also not sure I could train for a half by then. I am 4 months post partum and trying to fall into LIKE with running to get rid of this baby weight. But, I see that you all are in the DC Metro area as I Am - so Friend requests are coming to you all! :) I would like some friends…

Pandora station on my cell phone. I like that you can type in an artist you like, and they will continue to play songs centered around that artist or genre. The variety usually keeps me going.

I have the Zumba DVD. I don't have the toning sticks, but I have done it with regular weights. It is a lot of fun. It doesnt even compare to being in a class at the gym and feeling all the energy of everyone around you - but it is still a good workout.
-
I work out first. I feel like the only time of the day I have the motivation and energy to put towards a workout is FIRST thing in the morning. And it's been working for me. :)

My biggest struggle is not planning my food. When I plan, and my schedule stays according to my plan, I do well with eating. But, if something changes, and I have to run out or be away from the house, I make TERRIBLE choices. I have been tracking my food diary and everyday that I have a bad day I see it is that I was…

Same here, until Jan 12, I'm on Blackberry and I have the app by Vimukti - and that turns off your Pandora everytime to tell you when to run/walk. So I would love to see some things other people have said about using the Blackberry and the C25K apps and podcasts.
