I love salad too! I must say i'm addicted to Arugula...so good and i love making my own mustard dijon vinaigrette but most days i just squeeze lemon and sherry vinegar with a bit of olive oil My favorite ingredients: - tomatoes are a must - marinated artichokes (in water) - beets -avocado - mango - pea shoots ( my new…

It keeps your body guessing so it doesn't get used to one or the other (low carb vs high carb)...I am sure there is a very lengthy scientific explanation that goes along with this as well :)

i do a lot of spin and I find that it keeps me in good shape. Definitely a good calorie burner. I usually do the 45 min class but we have a 60 min class that always pushes me and makes me sore! lol

you don't necessarily have to stop exercising. Your soreness will eventually go away (whether you rest or keep exercising) - muscles adapt to the regimen eventually etc (this usually takes 3-5 days) and then your muscles will release the water they're holding on to. This happened to me a few weeks ago and I even felt like…

I've finally started seeing progress in the past 2 weeks. I had a 4 pound gain in the month of Nov-Dec that I never logged and I'm hoping I can finally show a loss in the next week. I have been working out a lot though and eating mostly home-prepared meals. I also feel like it took longer than it should have to shed the…

It's perfectly ok to run as much as you can and then to walk for another 15-20 minutes to get a solid 40-45 minutes of a work out in. It will leave you with ~400 cals burned, which is more significant for weight loss... JUST KEEP MOVING! great job so far!

Cheese is fine. A fine food specimen that comes somewhere from heaven. Cannot exclude it!!!!! I will agree that it's hard to regulate how much you consume of it while sitting around drinking wine and eating it with fig jam...sigh. I'd like some cheese right now in fact...

for me - eating clean definitely makes a difference in weight loss. I know some people can lose even if they eat 1200 cals in crap all day but for me that's not the case. My meals need to be pretty clean for me to lose (especially dinner). If i make my chicken breast and sweet potatoes or some other veggie instead of…

I think you should weigh yourself and not feel guilty. what happened ...happened but now create goals etc that will drive you to the finish line!

my 2 cents would be that you are eating way too many empty carbs. There is a lot of bread, crackers, rolls, etc in your diary. You should focus on veggies and fruit as your carb source and forego the rest. I know how it is when you sit down wit hummus or almond butter and just keep popping them in. Just stop buying the…
