I power walk...I walk 5K's....get up to doing a 15 min mile....I up to about a 12-13 min (very brisk pace).

I work with plastics...here in NC it runs from about 8K-10K. Insurance will not cover it unless you have nice hernia to go with it...and its still a fight to get them to pay.

I have completed 3-5Ks this year...I walk about a 13-15 min mile. I ran about 2 miles of the last 5K (I didn't run the whole 2 miles, I did it in intervals). I didn't know if stepping up my cardio workout would help shed more pounds. I also do a boot camp every month.

bump---I'm interested too. I did my first in 43:06, did one Sunday and had it down to 40:15. Would like to have it down to 30mins.

I'm 5'6" and I'm shooting for 170. I'm not sure that I can get down to 130...I have a pretty large frame. I love to hit 160.

I did my first this past April! We only ran 1.5 miles of the race and finished in 43 minutes. It is a great experience. I am actually walking a 5K tomorrow. I have one planned for my birthday in October. And one last one in November. I’m shooting for a half in 2012!
