I've been working with the same coach as thedreamhazer for the last 2 years (almost). He's awesome, fun, and I've made some significant increases in strength and improvements in body composition.

Hey nitesky83! I've been working with Side Steel as my online trainer since Jan 2015. Online training has worked out really well for me. He's pretty fantastic and lays out plans clearly. He wrote a blog post about my progress a few months ago…

Totally unsolicited endorsement. I've been working with Patrick since 1/2015 and that was probably the best decision I made all year. I've lost almost 20lbs and improved in all my lifts quite drastically. For instance, he's helped me go from doing partial bodyweight squats to below parallel barbell squats. I've even…

The podcast was awesome! Also, Side Steel is the bombest coach ever. (not trolling).

HI Oi_Sunshine! Thanks! I'm 5'4"

Whoops! I kinda posted and walked away! Thanks everyone for your kind words! This is probably been the easiest, most painless fat/weight loss I've ever done. And Sidesteel - It's been fantastic to work with you! Audrey is the best.

No problem! Also, the changes were most drastic in my face too my first couple of months doing this. Keep at it lady!

Uh yeah. Forget the forums. .75 in is A LOT of loss for a leg! Everyone carries their fat differently. For me, since I can compare with my Jan pics, my front pics aren't that monumental but I carried a lot of fat on my back and backside. Give it a few more months, if you keep progressing like you are now, the changes will…

4-5lbs in 2 months is awesome! That's about what I'm doing now. It's more of a recomp than anything else. Since January, I've been losing about 2lbs/month with heavy lifting and I'm getting excellent results. I've lost several inches (waist, hips, belly). I'm getting much stronger and I'm starting to see definition. I'm…

Ok! I'm going to be the outsider here. I think it's awesome that this works successfully for so many. I've tried banking calories and for me, it backfires. When I've tried to bank, I end up hungrier when I go back to my daily goal. Also, I lift and banking makes it harder for me to hit my protein goals. So when I go out, I…

This beef and barley stew! I add a lot more beef, some bouillon (or better than bouillon), and some chopped baby bella mushrooms. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/09/beef-barley-soup.html

Start tracking your fiber intake in your food diary. Try to shoot for 15-25g/day of fiber.

ON's Vanilla ice cream is pretty good - it's just vanilla. I do like rocky road quite a bit!

Kick her to the curb! You don't need a friend like that! She's just using you for your warm milk and shelter. She's jealous of all your losses and huge gainz. She wants you to just stay with her - sedentary and sitting on the couch, sniffing catnip.

Yeap. I've read Starting Strength. I thought the same until I screwed up my knees and my physical therapist actively told me not to. PT said that for women, their hips are sufficiently wide enough not to need to. Not to mention these physical therapists who say the same…

I have a lot of issues with squatting too. My problem is that I have weak abductors - so when I squat, I lean forward way too much. When I've tried to adjust and sit up straight more, I start to fall. I also find wider stance squats, like goblet squats, much easier. I also feel squats mostly in my quads (so you might? have…

Thanks SideSteel. I definitely will. :)

@Sarauk2sf - My pt was trying to keep my knees square and my back upright. (I've been told even by trainers that I lean forward way too much. @n3ver3nder - Thanks for that resource! :)

Agreed. Switch to 250/day deficit. I looked at a few days in your diary. It looks like you average around 50-60g of protein. Eat more protein - it helps a ton in satiety. Check out this link: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants

that's a tough one. tuna/chicken salad when i had my wisdom teeth removed, i ate a lot of sauteed ground beef mixed with mac & cheese. eta: you could also throw some chicken in a slow cooker then shred it with a favorite sauce. meatballs should be easy to eat too.

Sorry, Roger! You a tiger now! (someone had to!) yeah. stretch marks stink but you learn to live with them. :)

Awesome! Sounds delicious! Any idea on what the calories/ macros look like?

Why can't you have carbs or salt? Do you have celiac disease or high blood pressure?
