  • Breakfast: coffee with 1 oz sugar free peppermint mocha, 2 eggs scrambled, small banana Snack: 4 oz grapes, 3 oz baby carrots Lunch: homemade shrimp fajita, small side salad with lite honey mustard dressing Snack: Siggi's vanilla yogurt Dinner: homemade shredded beef sandwich on whole wheat hoagie roll
  • For me, my socks make a big difference for blisters. If your socks are loose and moving under your shoes it will cause blisters even if your shoes fit properly. Try investing in some socks made for running that provide support at the arches and don't move around under your shoes.
  • This is what I see on the full nutrition label when I googled it, so it looks like the 179 kcal is for 100g not the full 195g in the package.: Nutrition Typical Values 100g as sold - Energy 837kJ (201kcal) 756kJ (179kcal) Fat 12.7g 3.7g Saturates 5.6g 1.7g Carbohydrate 0g 0g Sugars 0g 0g Fibre 0g 0g Protein 21.6g 36.4g…

  • I'm in the same boat. I've lost 93 pounds and I feel like I'm content with the way I look in clothes now and feel great so the motivation to stay as strict as I was is gone even thought I want to lose about another 25-30 to get to my ultimate goal. I find myself getting motivated to push myself, but lose that motivation…
  • Thanks. They are old stretch marks that had already faded to match my skin color, but with the weight loss they are darkening again. Patience has been a huge part of this process so I'll just practice a little more. :)
  • I agree, I find people are nicer to me now and strangers say hello and make more eye contact BUT I also find that I am more confident and happier now and I put out more effort to do my hair and makeup and look nicer, have a happier attitude overall, hold my head up when walking down the street and make eye contact with…
  • I don't have a long commute but live alone and don't like to cook everyday. I usually cook three or four meat recipes (depending on size) over the weekend and then divide into freezer containers. On Sunday evenings I make 5 salads in individual containers and stack in fridge. I keep a bottle of dressing in the fridge at…
  • Agree with @keemie389. I work in an office and find myself wanting to graze throughout the day so I do breakfast, a morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack while at work. Once I leave the office I'm good and just have dinner. On weekends I eat bigger meals because I find I am on the run or busy and don't snack much if at…
  • I typically eat the same things or very close to the same things for breakfast and lunch since I eat those at work. On weekends I pre-log these in the morning. Dinner differs but is typically in the same calorie range each night. I adjust my snacks if I need more or less calories for the day. If I am going out to lunch or…
  • Sandwich...smoked turkey and brie on whole grain bread with fig spread, baby spinach, tomato, sprouts and avocado. Super Yummy.
  • I use runkeeper while also using the 10k trainer app and have never had an issue with my battery.
  • Not sure what flavor you are making but I've been hooked on a sandwich lately that uses fig jam in place of mayo etc. I make a half sandwich with either soup or salad for dinner with: multi grain bread, 1 Tbs fig jam, brie, smoked turkey, baby spinach, sprouts, tomato. Sometimes I add avocado if I have on hand. Super yummy.
  • I mash the yolks and mix in mayo, yellow mustard, and a little pickle juice. Stuff the eggs and top with paprika.
  • I usually don't post here, just read a lot, but I completely understand your frustration and thought I would share what someone told me. They called it the paper towel effect...When you have a brand new roll of paper towels you have to use a lot of them before the roll starts looking smaller. When the roll is smaller you…
  • Congrats everyone! For me...having to pull my seat in the car closer to the steering wheel since the back fat is gone and I naturally sit further back than before.
  • Two pit bulls and a cat here: 1) get rushed at door by dogs beating me with their tails 2) One runs to bedroom to grab a aqueeky toy then to living room to lay on floor and sqeek out her excitement that I'm home 3) The other walks in front of me until I trip over her, then behind me with her nose against the back of my…
  • I have found that not eating enough before lifting weights makes me feel exactly as you described. I have noticed that if I weight lift with my trainer after I have had at least two meals and a snack in me (so after lunch) then I feel great wrking out with her, but if I lift with her after only one meal and a snack I get…
  • LB clothing, like other plus size stores or plus size department, run a little big. When I got down to a 14W whether there or elsewhere I could also fit in a 16 from a non-plus store or women's department.
  • Wendy's tends to be my fast food place of choice if I am going to go that route (usually once every couple of weeks or so). I usually get either the Berry Almond Chicken salad, I use one dressing packet cause two is just too much for me, 410 cal with one packet, the Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich, 390 calories or I get a…
  • I am 42 and started weight lifting program with a very good trainer 2 weeks ago. I can honestly tell you after just the second workout I felt stronger and more motivated than doing cardio alone. I know my physical strength hadn't changed much after only 2 workouts but my mental strength and general physical feeling was…
  • I have 4 sisters, so 5 weddings that my parents paid for. None of us listed the grooms parents. The invitations read mr and mrs so and so invite you to witness the marriage of their daughter abc to mr so and so. Then pertinent date, time etc info.
  • When I first started I did not take rest days. As the runs intervals increased I found that I struggled to get through the full run portions without having to walk. Taking a rest day in between allowed me to complete the run intervals without having to walk, maybe only slow my pace a little to help with building endurance.…
  • This is what I did too. The first thing I did was cut out eating out. Between lunch and dinner I would easily eat out 6 or more times a week. After a few weeks I started cooking more from scratch and eating less processed frozen dinners etc. On the weekend I cook several meals and freeze in individual containers for ease…
  • Boobs for me too but not in the traditional sense. I won't lose enough of mine so I'll have a reduction and a lift. After that I am going to give myself the gift of an active life and will take vacations each year that involve hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing etc. I want to see Mother Nature in all her glory with…
  • There is a huge 5k in the fall here and it draws tons of runners and walkers. There were a total of 66 people in the women's 46-49 year old bracket. The fastest finished in 22 minutes 12 seconds, the last finished in 1 hour and 6 minutes. The slowest time overall was 1 hour 9 minutes (by several people). There were many…

  • Are you planning on using a 5k app? If so, then take a look at the days. Find a day that has a total run time close or equal to the length of time you are currently running. Start there or at the beginning of that week with the expectation the you may find it a little harder to run outside in the heat and without a machine…
  • This is exactly what I was going to ask. I had almost 100 pounds to lose when i started running. I started doing a 5k app program and in the beginning was able to run everyday because I was walking more than running. As my run time increased I was no longer able to run everyday...it hurt my knees too much. I cut back to…
  • Timed. I finished W8 D3 last night of the clear sky 5k app and my distance was 3.2 miles. So I am right at a 5k with the 5 min warm up and cool down walk and 35 minutes of slow jogging. This week I'll start the 5k forever app to start working on my speed. :)
  • I was at 40 down before anyone said anything. Now at 51 down I am starting to get a lot of comments. I read something a while back that called it the paper towel effect. When a roll of paper towels if full you have to remove a lot of towels before the roll looks smaller. The smaller the roll, the fewer that need to be…
