VEGA is fantastic. Go for the Vanilla Chai flavour.

Holy Moly! you look fantastic. What an inspiration :)

Thanks everyone for the comments, they helped.

Love this, thank you. Being responsible about food. I've never looked at it that way before.

I've been waiting....and waiting...where the hell is my lightbulb? But seriously, I think deep down I do want to lose weight, but it probably is just laziness. My hubby and I even joked last night, "We never would have gotten fat if it was this hard!" referring to how hard it is to lose... I'm not in denial. I know EXACTLY…

It was more of an internal question to myself that I was posting on MFP, and it seems that others have that feeling as well. "Can I just live life the way I've been living and be happy?" Sometimes it's just too much, and sometimes it's very hard to stay positive. Obviously I've had some small successes, but damn...that 50…

Um, no. I'm the same weight and my calorie goals on MFP for 2 pounds a week are 2100 plus exercise calories.

I find Mark's Daily Apple a great resource. It tells you what your body REALLY needs and how to exercise to gain energy. http://www.marksdailyapple.com/#axzz22ynEjf2Y

I read this as well. What was really sad were the comments people were leaving on the website. It's a remarkable victory for her, especially as she is over 60. She still has a ways to go, but she shows that it's never to late to make your health a priority.

Enjoy every second of that feeling. When I was 346, my heaviest, i never thought I'd have the power or determination to get under 300. When I did, I promised myself I would never again pass that threshold. It's been 8 months and I'm 12 pounds under now...long way to go, but you should be so proud of your accomplishment.…

Started at 346, MFP at 330 and am now 288. Been a struggle for me, but I started April 15, 2011.

it's a myth. Calories are calories. Eat when you're hungry. Listen to your body, not you husband lol.
-
Do you think someone with 100+ to lose can try this, or is it more for people who are lighter? Hubby got it for me, but I'm really big with bad knees...
-
Alot of people on here have a holier-than-thou attitude and don't realize that people come in all shapes, sizes, experiences, levels of fitness, backgrounds, psychological states etc. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! I'm actually getting quite pissed off reading the responses to your question. You simply asked if anyone else found…

I feel you sista! I hate it hate it hate it, Actually hate it so much that my weightloss has stalled for the last 6 months! I don't know if it will ever get easier or more fun, but ya...it's a punishment.

My husband is an emotional eater. Just yesterday, he had a terrible day at work. I asked him if there was anything I could do to help. He said, "not really...All I want to do is go home and eat junk." So don't generalize.

Not a disability. It's a choice.

Finally!!!!!

I went to the fair on Saturday, and had a small bag of mini donuts, a bite of hubby's pulled pork sandwich, a large fresh lemonade and an ice cream cone. Ate pretty regularly for the rest of the day as well and weighed in 2 pounds lighter than last week this morning. One thing I think you should take into account as well…

2200 plus exercise calories, but I'm 290 pounds...
-
I think one of the things I'm not prepared for is getting attention from people who would never have looked twice at my heavy self.
-
I would never go to a class to do it, but i like doing it with the xbox. me. my living room. no one else. I look like an uncoordinated chicken, but man i sweat!

It really doesn't matter when you eat during the day, calories are calories. It's a myth that you have to stop eating at a certain hour in order to lose weight. If you're hungry: EAT!

When I started, I had close to 200 pounds to lose. My highest was 346lbs. It's been a little over a year since I started MFP and to be honest, I haven't been trying as hard as I could be. To get this first 50 pounds off I just try to make healthier choices and try to be a bit more active. The biggest change I made was…

Wow.

Oatmeal for me is a superfood. Super healthy, filling, fibrous and nummy.

My mom tried this, but all I ended up doing was taking money from her wallet to buy the junk I wanted. If he wants the junk bad enough to ease whatever pain he is in, he will find a way to get it.
-
I used to do this. My mom would buy groceries for the week, and put the meat in the freezer. She wouldn't get home until about 6pm and by that time i would already have binged on porkchops, made some chicken (ya, I was a good cook and ended up becoming a chef later)...This started when I was about the same age. She would…
