  • I'm really sorry you feel this way BUT what works for you may not work for others. I am really happy for you that you have found a doctor you believe in and trust, however he is only one in a whole slew of professionals treating these disorders and his opinion is more than likely not the same as (for example) my specialist…
  • Good on you, that's awesome :flowerforyou: My yay for the day...I managed to do a gym workout for 45 minutes  Ok, I'll admit my hands are now killing me, but gee I feel great this is the first work out in months due to pain and I'm so happy
  • Hi All :flowerforyou: I'm with you all the way in the pain scale, I have been diagnosed with Aggressive Erosive Arthritis, in my hands which is causing my bones to fuse in place and also De Quervain's tendinosis in both wrists. I am very wary of taking meds because I don't want to become dependant on them, but there are…
  • Congratulations on making the decision and welcome =) Now just breath and relax =) I'm 51 and have been on my journey for a while and yes my skin is a bit saggy but it's okay. My doctor has told me that it will catch up with me to some extent but don't expect perfection - it doesn't exist ;) I trust my doctor, we've been…
  • Loved reading this thank you =) Some days are tougher than others but we can do it, we might have to do it differently to all the other 'normal' peeps but we can do it
  • Hi :flowerforyou: I have pain every day due to Aggressive Erosive Arthritis, each day has varying shades of ouch =) I've been diagnosed as Gluten Intolerant and so I had to make major food and other changes including shampoos, make up etc. Unfortunately as this thing has lessoned my ability to hold things like dumbbells,…
  • I started my adventure for me and me alone (my arthritis insisted on coming along for the ride), during this adventure a guy I started dating told me "I've never really been into heavy women". My answer "Your loss coz If I'm not good enough for you after loosing 25kg then in your opinion I'll never be good enough...so piss…
  • Thank you for giving me a giggle  My guy always opens the door, carries the groceries and is just the sweetest gent ever  This doesn't make me feel all "weak and girly" it makes me feel special with his acts of care and love :blushing: . He works hard every day and still he's always at my car door opening it…
  • The kids (teenagers)and I had a big bonfire and BBQ, each of us wrote down what it was that had hurt, angered or generally peeved us off about him (abusive marriage) and then we each burned the letters and declared a new life began there and then, it was wonderful and great fun AND we got merrily tipsy
  • I haven't been able to find it here but really want to read it =)

  • All Gluten and wheat I got diagnosed intolerant and stopped all wheat and gluten, wow what a difference I stopped having tummy pains and actually had energy to burn
  • I have been diagnosed wheat/gluten intolerant for nearly a year and I have to say it's not for those who want to give it a whirl. Those kind of people kinda bug me as it effects those of us who are bound to this way of eating. :grumble: I went to a restaurant the other week with some friends and the waiter rolled his eyes…

  • Totally agree, I'm 4' 11" (148cm), mu weight sits from the hips to the waist and there isn't a lot of height to spare  my NGW is 150 my ultimate is 110, I think  I have a friend who is the same weight as me but is 5' 10" and she looks awesome :grumble: I have to keep reminding myself that I've come a long way…
  • Oh you know...the little bookkeeper, tech lady...yeah HEEERRR
  • I was talking to a guy today and we both remembered how excited we got when our parents bought a colour TV and about how milk was delivered in glass bottles
  • So glad to find this group, hi all :flowerforyou: I have Erosive osteoarthritis in my hands (thanks to 30 yrs of typing/bookkeeping) this means I am losing the joints in my fingers, they are "turning to dust and fusing in place" (doctors explanation) and arthritis in my knees :grumble: Lying in bed the other morning…
  • Seriously don't fret about it. I have arthritis in my hands and wrists (the joys of 30 years of bookkeeping), doing a push up on the floor is a killer. I found that doing it against a wall or on my gym ball cushions it a lot and I can try it. I use hand weights instead of push ups.
  • My naturopath told me the other day that the more Green Tea the better as long as it is prepared correctly, I love green tea and drinks lots of it during the day, it helps with fluid retention at those TOM days, aids my arthritis and weight loss. The only thing I've found if I drink oodles is a slight laxative…
  • Thank you for posting this :flowerforyou: I am about to take the biggest leap of 'faith' ever and today has been a day full of self doubt, fear and trepidation.... This I needed Again thank you
  • I agree, I have dated a guy who was ripped and so fit BUT when we went out it always felt like there were 3 of us in the relationship - me, him and his ego  My ex was 20%, but an abusive drunk. Am now dating a great guy who makes me feel special everyday is more the side of 23% but it doesn't matter, even though I am…
  • All complete, good luck with the paper
  • Thank Goodness  I seriously thought it was just me who didn't like her  I have lost count how many times I have started 30DS only to walk away completely peeved by this woman. I tried....damn I tried...sound on, sound off, even writing down the exercises so I didn't have to watch her all the time. Luckily I…
  • If your Doctor doesn't listen, keep pushing them or get another opinion. A friend had a similar problem with her leg, thought "just a strain" rest a few days started back into exercise...same pain went to doctor, told to go for xray. Results she had fractured her leg...she is now off exercises for 8 weeks minimum. Plus as…

  • Totally agree with you :flowerforyou: I actually got to the stage after reading many of the For & Against posts here totally confused and actually stressed thinking I was doing something wrong. After talking to my doctor, who is very proud of my weight loss (he is such a sweetie  ). He explained that I don't have to…
  • Buying clothes for my trip I automatically reached for the size 20 and 22, the sales lady looked at me smiled and said "my dear these are way to big for you, let's try a 16"   I did and GUESS what it was too BIG:laugh: I am now the proud owner of size 14 awesome looking jeans and clothes…
  • Just because a person is divorced doesn't mean they are "damaged" or "bad" it just means things changed. For some the choice to leave takes courage (speaking for myself after an abusive marriage), unfortunately the Hollywood "celebs" do tend to lead a bad example. I actually heard friends say as she and her new hubby were…
  • I couldn't agree with you more, I am sick and tired of people "giving it a go" like it is some new fangled weight loss miracle pill :explode: IT IS NOT!! If you have no real need to be GF then don't!!! It is expensive, it can be soul crushing when you can't find a restaurant to go to with your girl friends to have a night…
  • Hiya everyone  Starting weight: 75kg Mini goal weight for mar 31st: 73kg Goal weight for April 15th: 70.5kg Good Luck to everyone :flowerforyou:
  • Perky boobs   Sorry I'm laughing hysterically because having children put paid to those over 28 years ago Stretch marks yup got them to see above reply  I'm losing weight and this time keeping it off, yes the loss of perky boobs and the gaining of stretch marks and saggy skin sadden me at times, but…
