I think the way you are doing it is perfect!! I lost 54lbs 2yrs ago and it took me about 9mths to lose it so I think you are right on track! If you take away all the foods you like/love you are more likely to go back to them and gain back, I definitely think a few small changes and portion control is the key! Good luck…

I have a Polar F7 and I really like it, it has the watch and the chest strap and runs around $100 depending on where you buy it maybe a little more. Got mine as a gift but it came from Sports Authority.

Fantastic!! I can remember the first time I was able to run a 5K straight thru and I wanted to throw a party after!! I told everyone I came in contact with (which probably annoyed some, but tuff s**t) I am now addicted to running and I have done a ton of road races since then, great job and keep it up!!!

I also use the Runkeeper app and it is pretty accurate, I sometimes have trouble with the accuracy of my Nike+ but by far the Garmin is pricey but the most accurate!! Good luck with your marathon training!!

Just Dance for Wii has songs by Katy Perry, Brittany Spears, CIndy Lauper, etc, it is very fun and you burn a good amount while doing it!!

I agree that you should take a break I tried that during my active weight loss when I hit a plateau and it worked to break through it, I didn't go crazy or anything just went slightly over on cals and ate what I wanted for the most part anyway!

Protein shakes are good but I like to make my own shake with chocolate milk and peanut butter and sometimes I throw in a banana! It's yuymmy and with the peanut butter you are getting more protein than just with the milk!

I got mine at Sports Authority and I also have the Polar F7, it cost around $120 I think (I got it as a gift) and it has a chest strap. I find it very helpful especially for activites outside like running or walking and also when I use my Wii Fit! :bigsmile:

I also weigh every morning, after I visit the bathroom of course :wink: It keeps me on track I don't see it as a problem!!

I used to burn quite a bit of cals when I was doing that game, I would wear my HRM and play for 30-60mins on the challenge mode so there isn't as much of a lag between songs, it varied but I used to burn anywhere from 200-350 cals depending on the song intensity and how long I did it for!
