I'm 5 months out from gastric sleeve. Amazing. Just get through this 2 weeks and you'll be in a totally different headspace after surgery. Maybe read some cognitive behavioural theories by Susan (?) Beck. The beck diet solution is the book. It's excellent and applies post surgery as well.

It's likely coming from your neck. Are you craning your neck forward? That can cause thoracic outlet syndrome which will send nerve pains down your arm.
-
I'm going to add a bunch of you. Today is 3 weeks from my sleeve surgery. Doing well so far.

Google Jillian Michaels. She is amazing herself, but if you don't like her workouts (Can't beat 30 day shred to start), that search will take you to other bootcamp-style workouts. I have never liked any workout as much. Includes bodyweight exercises and cardio.

IT's not so much what I want to get as what I want to get rid of. I find it very hard to find comfortable clothes. Everything pulls or pinches somewhere--even shoes are fitting badly. I have sore feet and joints. I can't cross my legs. And my cardio is worse than it's ever been. Frighteningly so. I want to get rid of all…

You should be able to get unsweetened whey protein isolate anywhere. "Now" is reputable and theirs is fine.

Just amazing. Great work, and great story.

Vegetarians become very knowledgeable about protein and B12 sources. It's important for your health.

I'm sending a FR to both of you. I'm using MFP for database stuff and inspiration, and WW for sugar accountability. I hope that together I can stay accountable. I just got my smartpoints stuff on Tuesday and am still setting up.

Face then boobs.

Keep your bottom knee down and your top leg out for balance. Watch you don't hurt your shoulder too.

I believe that weight loss can happen without exercise. However, fitness can NOT. Exercise for fitness and overall health and mental and physical well-being, not for weight loss. The up side of this, is you can do what you really enjoy doing, and not worry so much about calories. Nice, right?

Thanks CyberTone.

IT's so hard when your family just doesn't get it. Sending you a request.

I'm in. It does get harder with every attempt. Trying to make the CHANGES that are necessary.

I think very active people often overestimate how much food they can get away with. You really need to track your food honestly for a while (without changing anything) and see how much you're eating. It's amazing how few calories you earn from exercise.

I have a polar loop, but also have had a fitbit. For me, my hatred of technology and ensuing complications, makes it not worth it. Honestly, I prefer my hrm for exercise, and my $10 pedometer for steps. btw, both the loop and the fitbit give steps for rocking in a rocking chair for what that's worth. My fave chair, so…

Hungry Girl has quite a few overnight oats recipes with different combinations of stuff.

Double double is not a thing everywhere?

From a weight loss point of view, exercise doesn't make or break it. It`s really what you eat, so you should be able to accomplish weight loss, even without exercise. I know exercise makes you feel better etc, but if it`s too painful, just focus on the diet for now, and add exercise when you can. Maybe invest in a…

It's a tough call. What usually decides it for me, is that if I have bigger clothes to fit back into, I may allow myself to do just that. I don't tend to keep bigger clothes. I do, however, have an entire wardrobe of clothes that I'm 20 pounds from fitting into, and I can't seem to get rid of those. No help at all...I know.

You just have to stay the course. A lady at my WW meeting switched up her food (she had been alternating basically between 2 breakfasts for example) and broke through a very long plateau pretty far into her weight loss. That might help? Or you may want to try shaking up your workout--strength training? Kettlebell workouts…

If you've already lost 21 pounds, then you know how to do it. Just keep doing it! Congrats.

I have used Stevia liquid and I do not like it at all. Blech! But the powdered Stevia is fine to me. Have you tried both kinds?

47 this year and have 3 15 pound goals. I can't imagine being less than that, but who knows? That would put me at about 170 pounds. Count me in.

I think I'm smarter now, so I just can't bring myself to do the quick fixes like I used to. Slow and steady is the only way. Once I got that, it started coming off.

Has what ever happened to us before? The regaining weight? OMG. It's a constant battle! And it doesn't get easier every time either. REally, take some advice from me. Change your lifestyle to something that you can maintain forever, because it really does require that to keep it off. Look at (or register for) the national…

Also, focus on finding "it' for a while. Put your energy into that. It will serve you in the long run.
