A couple of days will not drastically change anything if you do switch. As for the screening, I would opt out entirely. No company needs to know my health details.

This person wrong about everything expect about the trace carbs. You'll pick up a few from veggies, but that unavoidable. My best suggestion is to base your diet around fat, moderate to low protein, and avoid anything but the highest fiber veggies that have minimal sugars. Many people do no carb all the time. I've done it.…

Donuts, cake, pie, pizza milkshakes... Drool... You have a problem most want to have.
-
Yeah. What are your macros like? If you cant get the calories in "clean" then get them "dirty"

Don't worry about it. Just eat food consistently, and adjust based on the progress you want. If you gain 1lb per week of fat consistently, then cut back 3500 calories for the week and try again.
-
Stick to a well known routine, something like 5x5 strong lifts, mad cor, or some 3x8 routine. They all work well enough. Progressive overload is increasing the weight regularly. Keep your routine consistent, but up the weights when ever you can.
-
Aim for about 1/2 pound gain per week. Use a progressive overload based lifting scheme. Adjust based on your results.

No one food is bad for us. Balance is key. Fat isn't bad for us either.

Twice, once, sometimes 3 times, on occasion 4 times....

Not trying to be pedantic here, but unless you're testing your blood and you're having trouble with blood sugar, It's a non issue. That is true especially if you're very active and exercise.

No one individual food is inherently unhealthy. It's called Food.. food /fo͞od/ Noun Any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink, or that plants absorb, in order to maintain life and growth. Main made junk can be bad. No one food type is bad. To much of anything is. Fat isn't bad Carbs are not bad Protein…

Define: excess with some context. Otherwise, we don't know.

If you mean dietary carbs, you're wrong.

Stop feeding your dog **** from the store. Protein is their main food and fat is secondary. Feed your dog meats. That's what they live on. This garbage on the shelf is full of the wrong macro-nutrients for dogs. Fat does not cause diabetes. Over consumption of the wrong food does. Feed your dog natural sources of protein…

There is plenty of good information out there on how low carb can benefit people who have had issues with diet compliance. Google is your friend.

Yes yes yes. We all know we can eat carbs and lose wight. You can stop beating that dead horse. Low carb is not a gimmick. It's a useful diet. It was my savior and is for many many others were a carbohydrate based diet failed them or when they had failed the diet. It's also incredibly useful for obese people. There is MORE…

I agree, It's not difficult to find some sort of calculator. It's also not difficult to learn some basics about macro nutrients. It's not difficult to set a reachable goal. People jumping on a VLCD are often in a diet mindset way out in left field. That's why they fail. Their whole approach is bad. I doubt people are…

Those are not examples. They are people that are struggling with their diet for various reasons other than being below a magical caloric number. Most people don't know how, or understand how to count calories and set macro-nutrient goals. There are plenty of examples of people successful eating at a steep caloric deficit…

You're probably suffering from sugar/carb withdraw You're probably not eating near enough protein You're probably not eating near enough fat You're probably not eating enough fiber When on a cut, if you're eating enough protein and fat, you wont have much room for extra carbs because you'll be getting a ton that come with…

Consider speaking with a doctor about your hormones. Specifically someone who specializes in this. Also, many people with similar issues have success with a low carb diet lifestyle. It's almost like the addiction gets switched off. It's worth a try!

I think that Smith squats restrict the bar movement making the risk of injury much more likely. Ever fail on a squat? You drop the weight behind you. Cant do that on a smith. Image the damn bar hitting every single bone in your back on the way down. Enjoy your wheelchair!

Maximize protein intake to help curb appetite. Watch movies and TV shows!
-
Lifting and cardio are two different things. Lifting is a great cardiovascular exercise!
-
You know you're out of shape when dropping a deuce gets the heart rate up and you break a sweat.

I don't log (because I don't count calories), but you can add me if you want.
-
Simple. Don't.

So there is a double-standard on here based on a mythical starvation mode and magical minimal caloric intake? I've seen it all now.
-
For me, not long. I was heavy. I think 5 months for the first 50lbs. Aim for no more than 1% of your body weight per week. That's a nice guideline. Don't rush progress. Just take it one week at a time.

I've done some reading on how statins are useless and a waste of money especially for women. I'm not sure exactly how true that is. It's worth mentioning if only to get you to investigate more. I have also read, that regardless of diet type, being in a caloric deficit helps lower cholesterol levels to "healthy" levels. If…
