It's totally disgusting. It ended up being thrown away very quickly.

I'm 5'11" I could never be 'tiny'. I'm just as likely to grow a unicorn horn.

No lactose or onions in this house, which can be quite hard in the shops as *everything* has lactose, oinions or onion powder. I just cook from scratch and am getting quite good at it now, if you ask me. Weighing ingredients and portion control are where it's at.

I haven't given anything up. I like my food - especially spuds and pasta - and I like my booze. In order to keep eating the things I like I exercise pretty hard on weekdays. It works for me :-)

My husband just did a 100 mile ride today - in the highlands of Scotland! During his few months of training we realised that he needed more fuel during his rides in order to be OK when he finished. Therefore (to the amusement of 'serious' riders, sure) he used a very large camelback (4litres) but filled with a…

As a woman who is not far off 6' tall, I fail to understand how someone nearly a foot shorter (and built smaller) than I should have to ingest the same amount of calories/nutrients in order to be healthy. Why is this magical 1200 the same for everyone? If you ask me, I wouldn't worry too much about going 150 or so under…

Fish. I'd rather lick batteries.

There is a brighter side to gaining water weight: it's great when it comes off again. I weigh a full 6 lbs lighter than I did yesterday morning. Yes, I was peeing like a horse all day and had the big period poo but it still made me smile this morning! Hahahah!

6/700g chopped courgette (zucchini) 1 litre veg stock Boil it all up until it's soft then blitz in a food processor/blender until smooth. Pour back into the pan and then add 70g of low fat soft cheese. Heat gently - the soft cheese should melt in and also leave some nice little cheesy blobs. Makes around 1600ml, which is…

Not that I'm criticising you in any way - but an hour's jogging burns around 750 calories. I wouldn't call exercising for an hour a day particularly excessive. (I also tend to wind down with a half hour swim - about 250 kcal)

I'm 5'10 of medium frame and aiming for 140-5. I'd like to be able to wear a size 12UK. I started at 183 and currently weigh 165. Thirteen stone is 182lbs - I looked FAT at that weight and was wearing a size 16-18!

Yes, the Tesco pasta is dry weight. If you look at the nutrition information on the back of packets it should tell you whether the values are for cooked weight.. The info for meat is usually uncooked.

The Asda packet is talking about cooked weight.

North American recipes tend to measure by volume rather than mass. Straight 'cup -> weight' conversions can be inaccurate e.g a 'cup' of rice will weigh far more than a 'cup' of brocolli Many foods in the database have more than one entry. If you look through them for the item you're wanting you can usually find one that…

There's not much you can do in 5 days other than try to build your self esteem. Learn to love yourself and enjoy your holiday...

I really love crisps and booze... and lolling on the couch. That's about it, really!

Enjoy your dinner and go for a good long walk on the coastal path. Have fun!

I think I know where you're eating! If I were you and couldn't skip starter I would check out what the soup is and have it without the bread. Soup is generally pretty good because it's usually lots of stock/veg (if it's not a major creamy one). That, or the antipasta (sans breadsticks). For mains I would go for the…

Because it's horrible... I'd rather lick batteries! (I do have a funny 'taste/texture->sound' (and the reverse) synaesthesia mix-up though - fish is horribly squeaky!)

Where abouts are you in your cycle? I put ON about 5lbs the week before/during my period.

I'm 36, haven't run since I managed to get out of PE at the age of 14 - and even then I'd cheat/take short-cuts at cross country! I'm just about to start week 6 of C25K and am surprised at how I'm liking it - or rather - how much I'm liking the feeling of achievement after each run. I still find the running itself a bit…

I'm 5'10 and currently wear around a UK 14/16 - I'm not overweight for my build and wouldn't consider myself to be 'plus sized'. Finding decent running tights in those (what I consider fairly normal) sizes has not been that easy! Everything is also far too short and designed with slim/short people in mind. Who really wants…

Oh yes! I like egg and chips as an easy dinner - I started weighing the oven chips. According to the bag one serving is 125g. That's about 6 chips (fries)! I now have a 300g portion and I still think it's measly. Boooo! (I was pleased to see though that my idea of a decent sized protion of pasta was only 100g compared with…

Houmous is dead easy to make from scratch - good for you, satisfying and you know exactly what's in it. I always have some in the fridge and have it on toast/crispbakes/raw veg depending on how I feel. 1 tin chickpeas 1 tablespoon tahini 4 tablespoons of lemon juice 1/2 tablespoon of the water from the tin 1/2 tablespoon…

I never use salt in my recipes - and can really taste the difference now. I can barely eat anything my Mum makes because it tastes too salty. However, if I cook anything potato-y I load the salt on after it's cooked like there's no tomorrow. There's nothing nicer than lovely sea-salted potatoes...
