I actually find it easier to get out and get on my real bike then to use the stationary bike. Much more fun, breezy, and you got to get home some how! I agree with the suggestion to just get out and use it. You can do short 15-30 minutes rides and as you build up stamina go longer or faster. I found once I started biking…

Change brands. I love Lean Pro Matrix - 153 cals and 34 grams of protein. 1/2 cup almond milk 1/2 cup black coffee 1 scoop chocolate protein powder Ice
-
You can try adding in a vegan protein shake.

Heart rate monitors are not accurate for weight training, they are going to over estimate calories every time. Heart rate doesn't directly equal calories burned unless you are doing cardio. Circuit training and weight lifting your HRM will give you a much higher burn.

Just found this group :) Today is day 6, gone from 155 to 147.2 following RFL. It's been about a month since your post how is your progress?

I think it definitely has a huge impact. When I first started gaining weight it was right after I become very good friends with someone who was over weight. We would eat together and I would think well I'm eating less than her so I'm good, even though it was still way too big of serving. Then I started dating my husband…

Log it under cardio as strength training :)

I enjoy biggest loser, and I do find it motivating, but I also know from listening to Jillians podcast that they are doing 2 3 hour sessions per day, have nutritionist on had to help with food, have fully stocked kitchen with only healthy foods, are getting sports massages and the same type of care a professional athlete…

Snacks for me 90% of the time are veggies. Peppers, carrots, sugar snap peas, cucumber, celery

Kris Gethins Hardcore Trainer on bodybuilding.com or Jamie Eason's Live Fit Trainer, both are free.

What I tell people when they ask for advice is cardio will change your size but weight lifting will change your shape. You can just do cardio and diet, you'll lose weight and become a smaller version of you.
-
It's only 30 days :) I would just finish it and see if you get better results in the other levels. Go up to level 2 now, you don't need to do level one the full 10 days if it's too easy for you. The good news is, the weight you have gained is just water and not fat :)

Feel free to message me with any questions you have :) I'll adopt you

You'll find that some muscles are more prone to soreness than others. My legs and chest often get really sore. Arms and back very very rarely every feel sore.

I wore a bodybugg for a couple of months and found that on my normal activity, lifting days with no cardio I averaged between 2,000 and 2,200 calories burned. On days when I'm really busy or doing cardio I can get up to 3,000.

I'm in Oceanside :)

Thanks :) I know my TDEE is about 2100 on no cardio days, and I'm eating 1600 cals. 180 g of protein and 140g of carbs, My protein is higher than that site recommends, but I'm really trying to maintain as much LBM as possible.

I'll have to watch these when I get on a better computer. I've been thinking I need to invest in a meal plan since I have trouble hitting my macros on a daily basis, but it's so pricey.
-
We've been considering the same thing. We have netflix and hulu plus and we realized we were watching stuff on hulu the next day more often than we were watching it on TV even with a dvr.
-
The best thing you can do is figure out your BMR (the amount of calories you would burn in a coma) and make sure to eat that + exercise calories. For exercise, a combination of weight lifting/resistance training with cardio will give you the best results.

5 days a week for about an hour each day. I do a mix of weight lifting and cardio.

I didn't use any of his supplements. I continued taking protein powder and the CLA I was already taking, I did Bizzy after LiveFit and I found the change of pace really refreshing:)
-
6 weeks after giving birth is when most DR's will clear you for exercise :) with your doctors permission start weight lifting right away! If you are only going to be working out at home a good set up dumbells and barbells are better than a machine :)
-
I've done the Bizzy Diet, Jamie Eason's Live Fit, and part of Lee Labrada's lean body trainer. All excellent programs that I really enjoyed doing :)
-
I logged 30 day shred as circuit training general when I did it
-
Larger calorie deficit with long higher intensity cardio will help you lose muscle. What is your body fat %?
-
This :) check out Lee Labrada's Lean Body trainer, sounds like exactly what you're looking for.
-
This :) just make sure if you are doing full body days that you give your body enough rest between workouts. When you do splits try to work muscles together that work together on your lifts. So chest and triceps and back and biceps together.
-
I wouldn't, just track time when you're specifically doing exercise, or movement that you wouldn't do on a normal basis.

Check out siouxcountry.com it's another forum more specific to women figure competitors. You'll probably have better luck getting a reliable answer there :) I lift weights, but I'm still trying to cut down more before I consider a bulk.
