This is an interesting thread... I just generally dislike my image regardless of where I see it. Many parts of my body are noticebly asymmetrical [some have asked me about it] and masculine, so I don't care for seeing pictures/images of myself overweight or otherwise. At this age, I've come to terms with my lacking…

Thanks, Brandiuntz, for the welcome. Yeah, I felt it today as well with my lifts. I must have been looking quite horrible today with my squats because a stranger came up behind me and spotted me, lol. He did compliment me on my depth, though. Hello to everyone and Congrats to Niner. Yesterday: Cardio: Walked 6.25 miles at…

My favorite lift is the overhead press. I've been training with the program for a month and failed it once so far. I think I love seeing the numbers increase on that lift more than any other. My least favorite is the deadlift. I can't remember all the lifters I've watched, but Untamed Strength's how to is the most recent…

I visited a lot of fitness sites last year and they all said "don't hold the rails", so I make sure not to and just get the best workout I can even at my slow pace of 3 mph. You can do it! It took me some time to walk at 3 mph on the treadmill period... But yeah, anyway, tiresome as I said before and it is better to just…

Yep, I'm sure the treadmill gives me some advantage. That's why I try to walk at a good incline. I know that I'm much better at higher inclines than brisk/speed walking, so I just increase the intensity of my cardio session by upping the incline. I keep it uphill the entire time or would that be half the time? I choose a…

I usually walk with an incline of 9 to 15 % at 3 mph-ish. I can only sustain this for about an hour. I have done it for 100 minutes once, but it was a bit much... but I completed my little personal challenge.
-
You can, but it will take you a while. I usually do this, but I take a break. I would burn 400- 600 calories, take a break, and then do the rest. I usually end up doing about 3 hours of cardio if I'm trying to burn 1000 calories in one gym session. It's much easier if I break it up: walk for 90 minutes in the morning,…

Cardio: Walked for about 2.85 miles in 70 minutes on the treadmill.... Burned 225 calories. Strength: Squats: 5x5x125; Overhead press: 5x5x75; Deadlift: 1x5x165; hip abductors: 3x8x145; hip adductors: 3x8x145. Assessment: I stayed within maintenance calories [but I still have 100 lbs to lose]. I need to increase my water…

The OP's post is a little judgemental towards the end, but I do enjoy walking and dogs even though I don't have one.... But please folks, be responsible pet owners/guardians. Most pets are predictable if properly trained, but they have their moments when their behavior is out of the norm. My little sister was attacked by…

Cardio.

I don't think so. I always always get a cold or sinus issues during the winter, but this past winter I didn't get sick at all. I think it's because of all the cardio I was doing because I wasn't eating any healthier (wasn't taking any supplements either) and my calorie deficit was from exercise only.

I've had hormone issues since I hit puberty at such an early age. My period is very irregular The doctor wanted to regulate my hormones with BC but I decided against it. The doctors saw how obese I was about 9 years ago and wanted to check my thyroid, which was fine. I've been obese/big/masculine since I was about 5, but…

I was able to do 36 sit ups today on the decline bench. The last time I tried this I failed horribly. I don't know if these are easier than regular sit ups, but still a NSV for me. I definitely feel it in my lower abs today.

The short time I stuck with 1200 calories/day, I was only successful when I ate a lot of home cooked meals. I was able to eat a good volume of chicken, fish, and veggies... But I did eat at maintenance almost 1-2 days a week, though, so that I could really have what I wanted to eat. This was more sustainable for me than…

I did about 2.5 hours of easy to moderate cardio on the treadmill, elliptical, and arc trainer.

I don't think we can all change shapes. If fat was giving you most of your shape, then yeah. But from 140 lbs to 305 lbs my shape has remained the same.... I have an inverted triangle/apple shape that becomes more pronounced the more I lose weight.

Walked for 100 minutes at 3 mph, 9- 15% incline.

That most processed foods out there are severely lacking in micronutrients. That high carb fruits and vegetables have a decent amount of calories.

Good job with the mileage. Walking is an amazing way to relax and exercise. The most I've walked is a little over 10 miles when I was trying to complete the 100 mile walk/run/bike challenge. I love walking on the treadmill and outside. Walking outside seems to be the most therapeutic for me, but I love cranking up the…

I always feel like crap when doing fasted cardio. It just feels like I just can't rev my engine up, so I've started consuming caffeine before any exercise and it definitely helps. I don't understand why I feel like I have no energy, especially knowing I consumed enough calories the day before. Maybe it's more mental, than…

I do the same as TiffanyR71, or I just do a hill interval program. What I've been doing lately is the random hill plus workout and the mountain climbing workout where the incline increases from 9- 15% and then reverses. For my weight, walking at 3 mph, the treadmill shows that I burn 800 calories in an hour doing the…

I don't prefer either... But if I have to choose, give me x amount of cardio workouts... Or give me a pro bono personal chef who will provide me the necessary meals to lose/maintain weight.

It's kind of difficult to remove the deeply ingrained idea of three full balanced meals a day, but I think 2- 3 large meals a day work better for me than 4+ small meals/snacks.

I confess to giving into food easily... I do. I do. Sometimes, I don't even try to fight it. I could be 20 lbs lighter by now, but I. Like. Food. And food likes me back.

I do enjoy when users try to enlighten the community. Nice analogy. :)

Weight loss is just a numbers game. Even with my binge issues, as long as I want it hard enough, the number on the scale will continue to decrease. However you create your deficit is up to you.

I was beyond a 46 J (the cup was way too small. Had a difficult time finding bras that fit) when I first started. I have lost a lot of boobage, but they're still huge, but they are quite saggy :(. I honestly don't know my current size because I've been stuffing them into sports bras, but my stomach does stick out past them…
